Inaki Williams may just be the final straw for this particular transfer window.

bilko!

1.) 07 Aug 2019 19:34:48
That bang anyone just heard was my head exploding, I hate transfer windows.

Cameron Borthwick Jackson out on loan to Wolves for the season . Jose insists he still remains part of his plans in the long term but I doubt very much he'll be seen in a United shirt again.

bilko!

1.) 22 Aug 2016 14:51:33
I think we will, he is a player who looks like he has all the tools to become a great player, he just needs to keep his head straight and concentrate on the football.

2.) 22 Aug 2016 16:12:59
I reckon it's more an admission that we're struggling to move Rojo out. With Shaw, Rojo, Darmain and Blind I'd imagine CBJ would struggle for games, and it's best for his development to get regular first team games at a competitive level. He'd be more ready next year when we've thinned the squad players a bit to give him more minutes.

3.) 22 Aug 2016 17:43:25
Yep we're struggling to offload rojo an Darmian because of wages.

4.) 23 Aug 2016 22:15:30
we have a call back clause in his loan.

5.) 29 Aug 2016 15:16:52
Darmian is not on very high wages.

Evans off to Everton for 8m apparently, good luck to him and hopefully we've got someone lined up to come in

bilko!

1.) 16 Jul 2015 20:19:22
Fair play I've seen him put in top performances for us. Go and get first team football lad. Good luck.

2.) 16 Jul 2015 20:46:43
Nice to see classy responses to one of our players leaving, rather than the usual, 'I'd carry him there myself' comments.

3.) 16 Jul 2015 21:00:50
I wouldn't carry him that would take too long

4.) 16 Jul 2015 21:13:11
He had potential but needed an experienced top class partner. Kept us going at the back one year and scored a couple of goals. Good luck.

5.) 16 Jul 2015 21:37:55
Carrying a dead wet log can be tiring. 😂
To be fair to the lad, he wasn't Man Utd class but always tried whenever asked to. At United, if you try enough, you have my respect. Abilities can vary. The thing I love about our club is we have tried to give chance to everyone all the time even if it has cost us. But you can't continue that if you want to win all the major honors.

6.) 16 Jul 2015 21:54:57
uses can keep him he terrible if we get i will be so annoyed

7.) 16 Jul 2015 21:55:43
Bada dum dum dum . Another one bites the dust. Think the writing was on the wall for evans after last season. Similiar to O Shea , very promising start to careers , but never seemed to improve with time. We are either going into the season with the bare essentials , or Ed has got some aces up his sleeve . That's ed Woodward by the way.

8.) 16 Jul 2015 22:05:09
Had a fantastic season 3 or 4 years back, was probably our most consistent CB that season . it wasn't all Rio and Vidic!

Wasn't great last season and it's the right time for him to move on.

9.) 16 Jul 2015 22:29:26
Never mind, Noucamp. it was good while it lasted.

He was given a chance to step up and as we all know it didn't go well. But his heart was always in it so show him some respect for at least that. I agree with Charlatan about 3 seasons ago and tbh the first shocking game he had, I was shocked to see him play so bad. Maybe if the insatiable ones got behind him rather than on his back it would have ended different, but alas it didn't.

Good luck to the guy.

10.) 16 Jul 2015 22:43:05
You're right monkey its our fault he's garbage

11.) 16 Jul 2015 23:02:46
And take a step forward, the new breed of fan - he was good a couple of seasons ago, but he was poor in an injury-hit season last year, so I want a shiny new plaything, preferably tanned.

Even if he's not now good enough to play at Utd, and LVG will be the ultimate judge of that, not a bunch of spotty, teenage fans, he's still a decent premiership centre half. Any player who leaves our club, providing they weren't cheating the fans with their lack of effort, deserves a bit of respect, rather than the childish, spoilt brat comments that flood sites like this at such times.

12.) 16 Jul 2015 23:05:39
Well we'll never know, whoatealldepays. But in my experience positivity can only breed positivity.

13.) 16 Jul 2015 23:18:30
Good player and good luck to him.

14.) 16 Jul 2015 23:25:55
I know and iv known for 7 years he's always been a liability. Iv been a part of many collective groan when he's been on the team sheet. He is the worst defender in the prem since titus brambles and how he lasted so long is an absolute miracle. Every defender that's gone before him has been a better defender. His distribution is shocking his composure is non existant. I gave an example the other day of when we was knocked out the cup by west ham when they put 4 past us and his performance was the worst defensive display iv ever seen in professional football shortly followed up by his cameo at mk dons. The only logical explanation I can think of that he's donned that red shirt for seven years is that he found a magic lamp. He is the taibi of defenders i'd rank him championship at a push.

15.) 16 Jul 2015 23:28:12
Noucamp stop acting like he was doing us a favour aswel its boring he didn't play for free and he got a lot more out of the situation than we did.

16.) 16 Jul 2015 23:27:41
Noucamp, was that directed at me?

My comment to you meant- I agreed with you, it was nice while the decent posts lasted.

Maybe, in understanding that, you will read my post in the right light.

I agree he was injured a lot but when he came back he was made to step up and it didn't work.

So, if your comment was at me. i'm effing offended. If it wasn't.as you were, gentlemen.

17.) 17 Jul 2015 00:02:25
You stay classy, mate.

18.) 17 Jul 2015 06:44:48
Not you, monkey. I got you :)

19.) 17 Jul 2015 08:08:28
No monkey it was at me because Noucamp has adopted this self righteousness whereas anybody who wants new players is spoilt. So just so were all clear I would want Evans gone even if a "shiny new" player wasn't brought on board because the thought of him standing in that back line for another season is too much for this 31yr old spotty teenager

20.) 17 Jul 2015 08:28:47
whoatealldepays seems just like JMB, probably just as arrogant and flipant I suppose you are going for the panto villian slot. Banter is one thing ignorance and such a dissmisive attitude is totally another. JE will leave i'm sure he has been a good sevant and has more footballing knowledge and talen in his little finger than you will ever have whoatealldepays.

21.) 17 Jul 2015 08:55:01
Evans is a good defender, but we've known for years that he was unlikely to ever amount to more than a squad player.

On the flip side of that, I often thought that under SAF it was the graft and determination of our "squad" players which did more to make this club great than the dazzling abillities of their more gifted peers. All the big clubs had some exciting stars, but only united had such a dedicated and committed bunch of squad players backing them up.

Good luck Jonny, you earned our eternal respect, even if you weren't good enough to win our love.

22.) 17 Jul 2015 09:04:28
Ken

That has got to be the most childish post I have ever seen. that's like saying Audley Harrison is a crap boxer then someone saying well he could knock you out! I am nothing like JMB I gave my opinion and was called spoilt and a spotty teenager so I gave my evaluation of noucamp. My opinions are consistent and just as anybody else has the right to voice there's i too have that right.

23.) 17 Jul 2015 09:28:40
I thought Jonny was fantastic a few years ago, never complained, always worked hard for the team, was never the most technical player but always put a shift in, to say he is the worst defender in the prem since 'Titus Brambles' is just ridiculous, Evans has premier league medals and champions league medals that he would probably wear whilst laughing at you.

Joining this site and arguing with regulars probably isn't the best way to go about it WAAD, even if you do have the best name we have seen on here for a while.

Evans has played 131 games over 7 years, some of them he has been poor but I would say in 131 of those he gave 100% effort, more than can be said for some of the prima donna's that play these days. If Jonny is to leave the sure he does so with a heavy heart and I for one wish him all the luck in the world, especially when he plays against our rivals City, Chelsea and Arsenal.

24.) 17 Jul 2015 09:51:24
We obviously see him in different lights GDS which is completely fine. My main problem is with people making assumptions about me and the driving forces behind my opinions. I also don't conform to hierarchy ie the length of time someone has posted will not affect my decision to either agreen or disagree with them. I think I provided valid points to show Evans poor displays are not limited to last season. i'm sure plenty of poor players have prem medals with utd and other teams around the world in their respective leagues that does not mean they are not poor it means the team was good. Again I am not trying to butt heads with you GDS I am merely giving you my opinions and the reasons behind them.

25.) 17 Jul 2015 10:02:25
i don't think evans has ever been a poor or below average player, he just never really made the step to top quality

26.) 17 Jul 2015 10:13:13
I am totally fine with that, I was just giving some friendly advice, this site can be like a dysfunctional family, we get on and we disagree, me and jred butt heads constantly but there is a mutual respect there (I presume from both sides, maybe he hates me).

You don't need to agree with a regular to conform to hierarchy, every single regular is happy for you to disagree with them and have your own opinion, but then you have to be able to take it when they give it back.

You made valid points to show his poor displays were not just last season, but you also called him the 'Taibi of defenders', 'worst defender in the prem' and 'garbage', which in my opinion is just total nonsense and you haven't backed them points up at all. I think a little respect for him wouldn't go amiss, that's all.

27.) 17 Jul 2015 10:52:59
Point taken mate. I can see how that may be a tad harsh, I am not and have never been a fan so maybe his errors stand out more to me but he has made some contribution to our success over the years so I guess I can give him that.

28.) 17 Jul 2015 11:28:43
To the tune of Kumbaya

She said no Jonny, she said nooooo.
She said no Jonny, she said nooooo.
She said no Jonny, she said nooooo.
Jonny she said nooooo.

Always made me laugh :-)

29.) 17 Jul 2015 22:44:40
Evans awful player never worth top half of the table team injures himself getting off the treatment table

Rumour that Atletico are after Rui Patricio, the Sporting Keeper . Wonder could this have anything to do with Oblak moving elsewhere ?

bilko!

1.) 09 Jul 2015 12:32:02
Jan Oblak would be an awesome signing! At 22/23 he's already a good keeper, a few years with us, world beater!

So Paul Scholes last night suggested that we should sign Ozil .

Great idea Paul, it's not like a lot of our problems in the last five or six years have come from signing players who have talent but are also lazy with a bad attitude.

Maybe we could also pay him half a million a week. It's easy to see why these guys can't cut it in management and end up as pundits where you can come out with complete nonsense every week and never have to take responsibility.

bilko!

1.) 25 Oct 2019 09:57:53
I get Scholes point but he's just gone for the big obvious name. We should be looking at younger hungrier players. Personally I'd look at Ryan Christie or Auour.

2.) 25 Oct 2019 10:19:22
Left field I would look at Grealish.

3.) 25 Oct 2019 11:00:17
For No 10, I'd love Bruno or Maddison.

4.) 25 Oct 2019 11:50:33
I love Grealish, he doesn't wok particularly hard but he has sublime skill and the heart of a lion, i think he would make a step up. Of course I could be completely wrong.

5.) 25 Oct 2019 12:10:39
For me I'd look at Shackleton at Leeds, nailed on replacement for Herrera. 👍.

6.) 25 Oct 2019 13:18:08
Grealish and maddison should also be looked at. Not much chance of getting either of them in January though.

7.) 25 Oct 2019 19:37:10
Definitely not Ozil. He s been a passenger at Arsenal for some time. Not to mention his high salary.

21 Aug 2018 10:49:42
We should flog Pogba as soon as possible and get as much of what we paid out back . Him and Raiola are toxic for the club, regardless of the short term hit of losing a midfielder .
We'd be better of with Herrera in the team, at least he'll put in the effort

And maybe in future buy players who actually want to be at the club instead of mercenaries like Di Maria, Pogba and Sanchez .

bilko!

1.) 21 Aug 2018 11:00:34
Tbh I don’t see what Pogba brings to the team, ok he’s scored 2 pens but his impact is very minimal to the point Herrera or McTominay have a greater influence for me. I mean at least them to don’t lose the ball and then fall over flapping there arms expecting a free kick because they was not good enough to keep the ball. Raiola should take his client and himself elsewhere as this club has become unrecognisable from the one we have always been.
I said the other day I felt sorry for Jose and I do, undermined by his players and seemingly by Ed Woodward, and the media love it btw, unfortunately in a situation like this the manager does not win and for the record as poor as our style is under Jose he does not deserve this from his players and CEO or the media saying ‘see he lost the plot again’ stories that no doubt will be the headlines.
Shame it has come to this but the writing seems on the wall and the players need to take a lot of the responsibility for this but going forward we need our identity back and I’m not so sure I trust Woodward with that job again.

2.) 21 Aug 2018 13:31:16
Feel sorry for Mourinho having to deal with Woodward and not getting the players he wanted in the summer but it’s hard to feel sorry for him in other ways .
He causes a lot of crap with his toxic attitude and let’s face it what we’re beginning to see now is a re - run of previous similar episodes at Chelsea and Madrid .

10 Aug 2018 20:52:55
Well we're winning.

1st trophy of the season, a gold button from Youtube for 1 million subscribers, Woodward will be delighted.

bilko!

1.) 06 Aug 2018 15:20:19
Ed001 you are bang on. Woodward does not negotiate most of those deals he does announce many of them but there are other heads of depts today negotiate those deals and they will be primarily be done between finance marketing and commercial depts.

{Ed001's Note - exactly. If he was negotiating them then he would not have time to do anything else and the company would be a shambles. It will be corporate lawyers and commercial department.}

2.) 06 Aug 2018 11:45:39
Tuanzebe off to Villa on loan by the looks of it.

3.) 04 Jul 2017 14:29:02
i think Batistuta has finally agreed to sign as well. We wanted shearer but thought that as he wanted more in salary than ronaldo then reports of him being a miserable greedy bas. d were probably true.

Whether United invest in top players or not, if he was a top player with a good attitude he'd still put in a performance every week and show some leadership to the players around him , and maybe also tell his brother to shut up .

it's depressing when you try to think back to the last time we had a really top class midfield at the club. The fact that we missed Scott McTominay so much says a lot. He's a decent young player who should hopefully keep improving but he's a lot more Darrren Fletcher than a Keane or Scholes.

Fergie's insistence on 442 was grand most of the time where the PL was concerned, but often left us struggling against top teams in Europe.

It was pretty obvious in the final few years under Fergie that the standard of football had declined . The team was efficient and got the job done but were'nt anything special to watch in comparison to 2008, 1999, 1993 etc.

Also he was'nt faced with opposition of the standard of the current City and Liverpool teams, The teams he had in his last seasons as manager would'nt have lived with them, genius and all as he was.
