Like many, I have long felt the media are not exactly Man Utd friendly, indeed it seems to have been nothing other than have a go at Utd for some month's now.
Well, it seems to have been proven to be true during the course of today's press conference ETH was holding.
This is what was said by the reporter from TNT (previously BT Sport) -
"It feels an important week for you, a little bit of a point where the season can really improve or another crisis - as we like to see from the outside. "
The taken-aback Dutchman responded: "Oh, you like it? Okay, that's quite honest. You want to see it, but we don't care about that. "

So much for unbiased press reporting.

I find virtually every aspect of commentary to be dull, and particularly when it comes to United. But we have to face it, our failures are their meat and potatoes, so much more worthy of their columns inches than our, or indeed anyone other team's successes. They get to spend their whole working lives droning on about the same things over and over again, lazily regurgitating reports someone else wrote first, attempting to look relevant or astute.

I suppose it's a sort of backhanded compliment. I have to say that nowadays I mute out half time, and sometimes even the commentary, particularly when they act so damned surprised when a United team that has been racked by injuries and out of form players, is struggling. It's not a shock. It's not news. Struggling for us has been the norm.

What would a lot of these idiots do if their was no Utd, their life’s would be so miserable what would they talk about

We are still the biggest draw and most talked about

Don’t forget we did wreck a lot childhood’s for which we should take a great deal of solace from.

We all get defensive about our teams but it really does seem there are individuals in the media who have a real issue with United. I can understand the newspapers because it's headlines that sell papers so you just have to accept the rubbish they print but when you tune in to Talksport or Sky Sports to listen to individuals who have played the game and should be able to give a measured account of situations only to have to listen to, quite frankly comments you expect from a group of mates having banter in the pub, it's quite tiresome. And that is probably being unkind on mates discussing football in the pub. Gabby Agbonlahor, Tim Sherwood, Graeme Souness, Martin Keown, Paul Ince, Danny Mills, Danny Murphy, it makes your mind boggle how they are making a living as pundits. To the extent, I actually think Daniel Sturridge is one of the better pundits at the moment from what I have seen. As for Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher, they could offer so much more but they have turned into the Laurel and Hardy.

You dare insult Stan and Ollie?
