I think the reason people put him in the team for next year is because Moyes will have to play him after spending so much money on him. In an ideal world neither Fellaini or Moyes would be at the club, but this isn't an ideal world but the real one. So we are probably going to have to accept that both will be here and playing a key role next season.

{Ed004's Note - Moyes said he was bought for specific games so maybe he won't become a regular. Well that's what I'm hoping for}

Absolutely agree. Will Moyes have the cajones to drop him tho? Woeful player. Looks like Bambi when he has the ball. Just waiting for him to fall over and lose possession. He looked good when deployed further forward and used as an aerial battering ram. Surely that's not the way forward though lol.

Me thinketh Liverpool's dare I say it wonderful attacking 433 is what we should be looking at. Can't see Fellaini featuring in any title winning side other than v expensive benchwarmer!

004, he said Fellaini offers us something that we do not have. Personally (just my opinion), I think Moyes was planning on chucking him upfront, but was advised against it by others (SAF perhaps). It is just my opinion mind. I do think if Moyes had his own way he would play Fellaini further up the field, but hasn't due to criticism he would receive.

I'm not convinced about him either but I'm not prepared to write him off so soon.

I think we really overpaid for him and I don't know what he offers but I do think we owe it to him and ourselves to give him more of a chance.

He's not had much game time this season and most players do take a while to settle.

I'd like him to play all the games for the rest of this season, see what he does in the world cup, give him some less important games next season and then make the call.

In the meantime, we should press on with bringing in three top midfielders, sell most of the rubbish we have (Anderson, Fletcher, Carrick, Cleverley) and have Fellaini as 4th choice midfielder. If he works out - great, if not then move him on and we are sorted anyway.

Fellaini is a very good player if you're going to play a particular style of football. Unfortunately that is not the Manchester United way of playing football - nor the Martinez way.

Why we signed him I will never know - and given his cost I fully expect Moyes to stick with him for as long as he is at the club. He can't afford not to. In an ideal world both he and Moyes will be moved on in the summer; but I wouldn't expect us to get more than £15m for him.

6.) 20 Apr 2014
Fellaini for me has been a waste of money but I don't think Moyes will sell him. So the best role I can see for him at our club could be of a backup mid and a supersub who comes on when we're winning the match and the other team is tired. He can add to our defense in those situations but I don't see him as a first team starter.

Syd 27 million for a particular way of playing have a word son.

8.) 20 Apr 2014
1999, I agree, I said for month's before we signed him that he isn't a MU player. I got blasted for it by some on here, but he isn't. That £27m should have went on Barkley. I think Fellaini was a panic buy.

Failanni would work in a side where he played as a number 10 and had a striker and two skilful players either side of him. He is good at taking the long high ball down and then playing a backwards or sidewards pass. Apart from that, he is not good enough for United.

Shano we are United, you know not Stoke.
