Well we have had a rotten season and nothing to shout about or celebrate. However there are those rare times where I experience pure joy from Football and I and one of those moments tonight when palace scored their 3rd goal. Classic only the scouters can blow a 3 goal lead with 25 minutes to go LOL.

I remember the days when you guy's use to say the MU/Pool game was our cup final, now all MU fans have to celebrate is when Liverpool lose/draw (which is very rare these days), amazing how times have changed isn't it ;)

They looked knackered by the 60 minute mark. Can you imagine if they had to juggle European football too? They will need to strengthen significantly in the summer and keep hold of Suarez. Can Gerrard go another whole season uninjured? This is Liverpool's chance to win a title. It will not come this easy again.

Damon, you're mocking Suarez for crying? he should get credit for showing he actually care's unlike the majority of the cash hungry person's who take the fans for a ride, go back to their mansions, sports cars without a care in the world ala Rooney.

Normal service will be resumed next season: we will be back fighting at the top and Liverpool will be scrapping it out for a Europa cup spot. :)

All jokes aside, Liverpool have played well this season, but are far from being a team capable of challenging over a long period. This season was their best chance. Next season will be a lot tougher. A lot will depend on who they sign in the summer; but they don't have the funds needed to bring in 4 or 5 really top draw players', which they will need to be able to have a chance of competing again next season. The likes of Aspas and co just won't cut it.

Liverpool have played some great football this season and deserve recognition for that. But there is absolute no doubt they've choked big time as soon as the immense pressure of knowing you have to win just a handful of games to be champions has dawned on them.

I don't have an issue with Suarez or Stevie G crying. Why would I? It makes GREAT TV :)

This season was Liverpool's big chance to re-emerge as a major force and thankfully they've blown it. Burden of playing in Europe next season and likelihood Suarez will leave whenever Real show their hand coupled with Stevie G being one more title-less year older makes it inevitable.

And before the Liverpool fans don their curly wigs and say 'ey ey ey' does anyone really doubt United won't be back in contention next season with a Champs League & multiple league winning manager in charge with £150-200m to spend?

Unlucky Liverpool. Played some great football but that's not what winning a league is about. Need more than skill and flair. You need bottle. You need heart. Things you can't buy. And you just ain't got em.

THalesini, I honestly can not see LVG doing that good of a job, the majority of his success came in the 90's and most with Ajax who at the time had an amazing crop of youngsters coming through the academy.

Scotbos, Sakho is a quality defender and will go onto be a WC centre half, we'll be challenging year in year out, you're just hoping it was a one off, Rodgers is a wannabe? am pretty sure you'd love him at United, in 2 years he's took us from 7th to 2nd with minimal cash spent compared to his peers, whilst playing extravagant football.

Sorry Plymouth Red but what trophies has Rogers won in his managerial career? Think its a nice round number and didn't he get the sack at Reading because they were bottom of the league?

He and Liverpool have done well this season but next year the PL will be tougher. Chelsea will improve and if they had a world class striker they would of won the PL this year. Man City will be better as will Utdl. Arsenal will probably improve a little and Liverpool will also bolster their squad. However the downside for Liverpool will be that their squad will be tested in terms of its depth when playing in the CL in addition to the PL.
Suppose SAF was only and 80's and 90's coach like LVG only being a 90's coach. Youv'e been listening too much to Carragher!

Van Gaal won the Bundesliga in 2009/10.That's the German equivalent of the Premier League, that's the one Brendan Rogers' team threw away last night. Hence the tears. Muller and Schweinsteiger flourished while he was there. They've not done bad with what he left behind either. He also brought in Robben. He's done alright also.
To be honest, he does worry me a bit though. If he is given time and space and the club buy in to his ethos, he will have us playing and challenging again.
He wasn't my first choice, nor second, but his credentials speak for themselves, regardless of the timescale. One thing for sure, it won't be dull, on or off the pitch. If he is the next manager of course.
Obviously, for the record and for many reasons, Rogers will NEVER manage United. We're better than that.

Hoggy, Fergie clearly had success in the 2000's you clown, you're going to goon a long dry trophy less patch, without Fergie you're nothing. As much as it pains me to say it the bloke was a genius.

As for Rodgers having won nothing, every manager has to start somewhere and am pretty certain the majority of United fans would take Rodgers without any hesitation.
