Watch City go out and get a top class replacement for Kompany while we still struggle to get the leader at the back we have needed for the last few years.

1.) 19 May 2019 12:43:44
De Ligt I reckon.

12 Apr 2019 11:13:46
Koulibaly didn't look anything special last night. Is he usually better than that?

1.) 12 Apr 2019 11:21:44
We need to check with an Arsenal fan.

2.) 12 Apr 2019 11:26:34
Last night was a poor showing from him. I’ve watched him many times over the past 2 seasons and he’s the real deal. Last night isn’t a fair reflection of his ability. Napoli were poor as a whole last night and credit to arsenal they were very good. I still think he would be a fantastic addition and would compliment lindelof very well. However the £100m price tag is obscene. You can buy two very good players for that amount. We need to invest smartly.

3.) 12 Apr 2019 11:54:53
Yea 100 mill is obscene. We wouldn’t be far off Alderweireld Wan Bissaka andRice for a bit more which would easily be covered by the sale of Bailey or Rojo
Then again, they’re my targets, not necessarily Oles and more importantly, Woodwards.

{Ed001's Note - you really have no idea about prices if you think you could get Wan-Bissaka and Rice for under 100m!}

4.) 12 Apr 2019 12:17:02
Ed1 you mean west ham wouldn't accept 40 and a free pick of rojo, bailly, Darmian or jones? Shame that.

{Ed001's Note - I know, hard to believe isn't it? I mean how selfish of West Ham to not give up their best young player in return for one of your cast-offs that they don't want or need! The ingratitude of these London clubs is astonishing.}

5.) 12 Apr 2019 13:26:10
Ed01 - if they were to be sold, how much do you feel each would go for?

{Ed001's Note - I really do not want to get into fantasy football prices mate.}

6.) 12 Apr 2019 14:33:07
Bout a hundred mill for the 2 sounds right. 60 for rice, 40 for wan bissaka no?

7.) 12 Apr 2019 15:52:42
try 80 for rice and 65 for wan bissaka at least.

8.) 12 Apr 2019 15:59:41
What has Rice done to be worth £60 million? He looks a good prospect and has just been picked for England. McTominay is a regular for Scotland and has played a few United games now, would he go for £60 million. Football is rubbish with its over inflated prices and wages.

9.) 12 Apr 2019 16:10:50
Mctom is as good as rice in fact better
Rice is a cb will end up playing n cb. I've been watching him since he was 16. He will not be a top midfielder he can be a top cb.

{Ed001's Note - I bet you weren't saying that when he was Irish.... ;-)

10.) 12 Apr 2019 16:15:19
😂 i was actually ed001. He is a very good cb and an average midfielder.
He does have lots of time to work on his technique and improve the sorted of good foot work but i don't thin k he will become a really top midfielder.

{Ed001's Note - no I believe you. Honest.}

11.) 12 Apr 2019 16:31:48
£100 million for rice and wan bissaka sounds not far off tbh.

Would love both with a sprinkling of grealish.

12.) 12 Apr 2019 16:37:47
Ed001 for me he made the right choice. If i was him i'd have done the same thing. He is English himself after all never mind the fact that ireland are really poor with little prospect of getting any better.

{Ed001's Note - I know mate, I was just winding you up.}

13.) 12 Apr 2019 16:43:07
So if Rice went for £60 million, imagine we might get £61 million back for Pogba?

14.) 12 Apr 2019 16:56:20
I get that 001 😚but i don't see the hype around him. Bang average in midfield very limited. He can improve and he has an attitude that will bring him far but lots and lots of deficiencies as a top level midfielder at this stage.

{Ed001's Note - hmmmm I think he is absolutely perfect for the role he plays. Great positioning, breaks up play and can pick a pass. He does not need anything else, Makalele was limited but he was great at what he did.}

15.) 12 Apr 2019 17:09:02
He has one job to do and does it well. Is he what's needed at United? Would he get enough game time to justify the cost?

16.) 12 Apr 2019 17:18:08
Tris watch the chelsea match again from the other night. Positionally he was awful and he was found wanting all night.
To be fair he is only learning what is a new role for him but i'd want to see hom doing it for a couple more years before lauding him and spending 40 plus million on him.

{Ed001's Note - I am not so sure he was found wanting as that he was overrun because the team was set up wrong. Impossible to be in two places at once and he was left trying to do that at times. I think you are being a bit harsh on him personally.}

17.) 12 Apr 2019 17:49:48
Personally I'd take that 100m, add another 20 and spend it on Ruben Neves and wan bissaka.

18.) 12 Apr 2019 17:53:13
Unreal how many forums you get people playing fantasy football Ed.

"Here 250m will sell these for X amount and buy him for 40m him for 60m and have some left for him at 35m" some absolute ones about.

Writing up formations with 2 or 3 of our current players and the rest are summer buys, unreal.

18 Mar 2019 09:44:29
Barca and Messi were scary last night.
Just hope Ashley's fit to keep Messi in check.

1.) 18 Mar 2019 10:29:04
I expect either a right hand side combination of Young and Dalot, or Herrera may be asked to do a man marking job.

2.) 18 Mar 2019 12:39:36
Young has been nothing but a liability defensively for most part, if we hope to stop messi it will have to be hererra doing what he does to hazard.

3.) 18 Mar 2019 14:19:16
It will take far more than a man-marking job to stop Messi. He will drift around and drag defenders all over the place. Barcelona can use one-twos and triangles to get out of all kinds of pressure. The only way we will stop them will be from a massive effort of communication and concentration, to stay switched on to their movement and quality on the ball. But it can be done.

4.) 18 Mar 2019 15:16:41
We can still do this you know, just make sure the players turn up. I would even suggest drop Pogba for the game. Somehow he always goes missing in the big games. I have a feeling that we might pull this off. I am hoping that the players turn up. As for Messi, we kept Ronaldo quiet for much of the tie in the group stage. We keep Hazard quite but it will take 2 to keep him quite and don't think Pogba is the man to do the job.

5.) 18 Mar 2019 16:35:25
I expect Herrera do a job, similar to what he have done with hazard in the chelsea games.

6.) 18 Mar 2019 17:24:23
My post was supposed to be tongue in cheek.

7.) 18 Mar 2019 18:25:49
Messi can change any game in a blink of an eye, and his partner can get a goal too.

8.) 18 Mar 2019 23:50:25
Porsche, you got me there. Took that one way too serious.

9.) 19 Mar 2019 18:14:57
Porshe I agree, but he'll need help from Chris "Action man" Smalling's gripping hands!

24 Feb 2019 17:13:59
What a biased and bitter man Graham Souness is. Makes Paddy Crerand sound like a balanced individual.
On a separate note, what's the future for £50 million Fred!

1.) 24 Feb 2019 17:20:27
I think he is being kept out of the firing line while the coaching staff work on him. I don’t think he will be moved on this summer and will have to get a chance before the season is through due to our injuries.

2.) 24 Feb 2019 17:21:06
I thought the others, including Carragher were embarrassed by Souness’s ramblings today. He can be quite eloquent but when it comes to United or Liverpool he’s pretty dreadful. According to him Liverpool played well today and should have won.

3.) 24 Feb 2019 17:23:41
Fred has no future with us.
Sourness is on a other planet, even threatened poor David Jones live on air basically, getting to him the pressure.

4.) 24 Feb 2019 17:24:50
Missed out on what he said. Can someone post.

5.) 24 Feb 2019 17:46:56
Sailor, it was along the lines of ‘what’s wrong with your face pal’.

6.) 24 Feb 2019 17:50:22
He was happy with them an thought they played well despite only one shot on target.

7.) 24 Feb 2019 20:29:13
My new theory is that Fred’s arse is a furnace, and it’s so hot that it can power the entire stadium when he’s plugged into the bench socket.

8.) 24 Feb 2019 20:35:17
He did not threaten anybody live on air, slight overreaction. Still a tosser though.

9.) 24 Feb 2019 21:11:56
Ha only Hoskins GDS, but he did say ‘why you staring like that, do you not agree’.

10.) 24 Feb 2019 21:49:29
Joshing not Hoskins.

11.) 24 Feb 2019 22:11:17
Because that is a threat 'Welsh Red Devil'

12.) 25 Feb 2019 00:06:02
Hold my coat he said if you lot want me to start on pogba.

17 Dec 2018 21:09:25
There is one bright spot amidst all the gloom, Mason Greenwood. Another quality performance and a great hat trick against Chelsea, the team that have won the youth cup for the last 5 years.

We'll end up with Sven Goran Eriksson if Woodward dealing with it.

Think he’s already good enough to get in our midfield.
Matic is slowing up and the others are only average bar Pogba on his day. Even then we still need more creativity from somewhere.

With a squad full of dross, why not sign another, if we can beat Bayern and Barcelona to his signature.

Agree entirely. We might also be able to keep De Gea and Martial, otherwise I think they'll both be on there way, before too long. We're miles behind Madrid, Barcelona and Munich, it's time to stop kidding ourselves otherwise. Another season of Lvg and we'll fall even further!

Bet Leeds win the play offs!

Just watch all the media experts who championed Ole for the job now change their tune and question the logic in appointing him. Redknapps the first to abandon ship. Experts my arse. Lovely man but this is the toughest job in world football at the minute. Don't think it will end well for him but who's the man to change things?

{Ed025's Note - thats the $64000 question porche..
