You think they will walk the league? It doesn't work like that, they have signed better players and had better windows in the past and won nothing.

2.) 12 Jun 2014
Will Cesc be an improvement on Oscar? Maybe. Will Costa be an improvement on Eto'o? Certainly.

{Ed002's Note - And will Pogba be an improvement on John Obi?}

3.) 12 Jun 2014
I think you took it a bit out of context but I'd certainly say there strong favourites. Syd would you not expect cesc to play more of a box to box role with matic sitting?

4.) 12 Jun 2014
Syd, it's quite clear that Cesc is a much better fit than Oscar in Jose's system. And Costa will be a huge player for them. As far as I'm concerned Chelsea are, again, showing us what a top club needs to do in a transfer window: target a few players who will immediately improve the first team and just go out and bloody get them.

Here we are again with the club promising world beaters, and us faffing around while other clubs do their business. Who'll be surprised if we end up with the usually mish mash of average joes and young hopefuls on September 1? Our transfer strategy over the last seven years has left us with the weakest United squad in decades and the owners seem completely unwilling to acknowledge the type of financial commitment required to stay competitive at the top level.

5.) 12 Jun 2014
What do you guys think. With Chelsea signing all these world class players, if Jose doesn't win anything next season does he get the bullet! There will be a lot of pressure on him from the big man with all this signings

{Ed002's Note - Chelsea are balancing the books with sales so people are simply arriving to replace people leaving.}

6.) 12 Jun 2014
But the transfer window isn't open yet eh, gds, that excuse is getting poorer by the minute.

7.) 12 Jun 2014
Danny, I believe we made a good offer to Cesc, the better financial offer if reports in Spain are to be believed, however he wanted a London move. His missus lives there I believe?

Syd and GDS2

Sorry guys but Chelsea is doing business like a pro. Luiz and Mata sold for nearly 90M£ and bought Costa and Cesc for 65£ plus is a improvement for me. Well, at least they finished ahead of us and already have a better squad.
City will buy big, Liverpool is doing nice business too.

I don't really think Sanchez will come and this BS of about the Market not being open only works for Manchester United.

But hey, we are the greatest team in the world and everything will go just fine like next season!

9.) 12 Jun 2014
First off Cesc is just one player. With all the money we are supposedly offering to players it's amazing that we haven't secured anyone.

The bigger thing is that we always hear these stories about United bidding for top players, offering mega contracts and so on. But when it comes to the crunch they always end up moving elsewhere or staying where they are. I think people need to start accepting that all these mega bids and contracts are just stories put out there to make it look like the club seeks out the world's best, because the reality is the owners have been short changing us for years.

I understand that Ed002. But aren't the players coming in better than the ones going out? So surely more pressure.

{Ed002's Note - I think it is simply wishful thinking on your behalf.}

12 Jun 2014 20:37:20
Ed002 do you think Chelsea will be able to go after Pogba with FFP and things? Just a yes/no will do, I know the financial things are an annoyance

{Ed002's Note - What is your concern about Chelsea and FFP?}

12.) 12 Jun 2014
12 Jun 2014 20:37:33
Ed002, is Pogba a realistic target for Chelsea at this stage?

{Ed002's Note - He is certainly a realistic target - it looks very likely he will be going elsewhere though.}

Ed002, most certainly would be an improvement. But wouldn't he be more of a replacement for Ramires overall? With Ramires and Matic in the midfield two, Matic and Pogba would be the two next season if Chelsea sign him, so Ramires would be the one he probably replaces overall.

Can I ask if you believe MU will make an offer to Pogba? We know he will go to the highest bidder of course. Also can you disclose what Juve want for him transfer fee wise? Obviously Mino Raiola and Pogba will want their own pieces of the pie, but what will Juve want for him after paying just £2.5m for him (gritted teeth).

{Ed002's Note - I am not going to get in to money but there will be an offer placed for him including cash and a player very soon. None of this involves Manchester United.}
