Fee agreed for Daley Blind. Now agreeing personal terms with the player. Not sure how I feel about this one. Can't help but feel we need a more robust DM and CB. Now before you all shout that he can play both those position, I know, but it is widely recognised that he is average at both being better as a WB. He is hardly going to strike fear into yaya toure in midfield of Diego Costa as a CB.

Good to see our squad players being moved on, but we need a quality 1st eleven, then bring in the squad players.

I think he will be used at CB until Jan when I believe we will go for another more experienced CB . I still think a CM will come in and maybe a surprise?

Agreed, we do need a predominant CDM not someone who can just fill that role.

Give the lad a chance, his preferred position is cdm and got eredevise poty last yr playing there and although not the quickest, he has an engine similar to park. I think he will be a very good signing

Don't know a whole lot about Blind.What attributes does he have, and how will he improve what we already have?

Imo Blind is a great signing, He's clever, vocal and versatile. I think we are in for a pleasant surprise with this guy :) Yes he's no Yaya but he will defo add something to our squad. Now for Carvalho :) haha.

Just read it on the Ajax website. Not that the fee matters as it's not my money but it's 17.5 million euros.

Well he played most games at centre mid last season and was player of the year in holland. I know that isn't a great league but for a defensive midfielder to get player of the year he must have been alright.

Buggy he's even signed yet and you don't think he'll be good enough. Give him a chance before you doubt, he might surprise you and tear The City cake boy a new ar#* hole.

This bloke is a great signing, and I will probably play cdm until January, until another certain dutch player proves his fitness from his knee .

Think we need to give Blind a chance before making any judgments. He played most at LWB in the world cup, where most of us have seen him. At defensive mid for us, we will see many other attributes of his, and he is playing with new players in a different league.
