I'm not sure if anybody else has pointed this out yet, but one of the benefits of bringing in LVG was meant to be that he would get the best out of RVP - do we chalk this up as yet another failure or is it too soon to tell?

RVP at the world cup was very poor under the so called management of LVG, his performances this season have been very poor. Hopefully he will play well today and shut me up on this point, but it is one thing that hasn't really been talked about considering at the time of signing LVG, every man and his dog was banging on about their "special" relationship.

Obviously the major blame needs to sit with RVP here, but just another seemingly small thing to look out for because I am confident the manager would have campaigned on this when being interviewed for the job. I know a lot of us were excited about this match up. Another notch in the "BS Column" so far for me, they are stacking up fast.

We are witnessing the Utd version of the 'Emperors New Cloths' and only a few of us are calling it for what it really is. It's amazing what fear and desperation forces you to believe. We are being managed by a megalomaniac who is fumbling from one mistake to another.

I am worried about playing West Ham at home, has it really come to this?

Very balanced list Beast! Not!
So what were you doing last year when we played Everton, wba, Swansea, Sunderland, spurs, city, Liverpool, Newcastle. All at home! Did you come up with the tripe that you're coming out with now? I think you should get a grip and read your ridiculously pathetic posts.
If lvg was that far up rvp's a. e, then why did he choose to make Rooney captain?
If you just try, and I know its difficult, to give lvg more than five matches before you completely dismiss him.
There again, obviously a man who has managed and had great success at Ajax, barca and Bayern must know nothing about football and should be sacked immediately.

With each passing day Beast you keep sounding like a bitter old woman. Why so much bile man, is it because LvG sold your soulmate Welbeck?

I am just pointing out a simple fact that is being missed amongst the wave of ignorance and desperation.

The fact he has made Rooney captain over RVP further enhances my point that all was not as rosey as we were led to believe between RVP & LVG.

Did you or did you not think RVP would play better under LVG? I have not seen any improvement thus far, he also didn't perform in the world cup.

I'm not criticising you guys for believing in our manager, you shouldn't criticise me for pointing out my accurate observations of the current state of play. I just won't say the rubbish we have been seeing or hearing is what I expect, irrespective of who the manager is.

You guys choose to believe in the master plan. I think he knows where he wants to go for real, but I don't think his Sat Nav works any more.

"only a few of us". Yes Beast, and thank God for that.

I'm not convinced yet but as with Moyes, we have to let things play out and then take a considered view. It's all a bit hectic, lots of new players, a manager who is something of a character, no centre backs.

Beast mate, you are being very judgemental at a very early stage. LVG may turn out to have peaked years ago but it's too early to each that conclusion. As for the lovers, I think you also need to wait and see. He is incredibly sure of himself and it does always seem to be the players fault. A little humility, less talk, and delivery of a run of results would help a lot.

Your post is laughable Mr. beast.

7.) 27 Sep 2014
Don't let the judgementals grind you down Beast, your opinion are valued but maybe not agreed with.

Beast you clearly have an agenda against the manager and are now starting to make yourself look silly.

Having yet another horrendous injury crisis can't be blamed on lvg, but I notice he's shifted the fitness coach, whos been here for 7 years a period which coincides with year on year injury crises.

I'll admit mistakes have been made, but nothing like what you say. You say he has failed, after 6 games that's laughable. It says it all when your getting told to be more positive by nomidfield! No offence to nomidfield intended.

We were left in a mess by fergie, moyes dropped us further into it and it became a huge job. Yet certain people on here think things could be sorted in just 3 months.

You're being a bit dramatic to be honest, LVG hasn't been in charge long enough to warrant a good judgement yet. Especially when you look at the fact we've been without 6-9 influential players from the word go. We look like one of the best teams going forward it's just our defence which let's us down and we haven't invested in that area to the level we want to yet, we know this so why not have a little faith and believe it'll come good?

Beast

RVP has 2 goals in 2 games now, you just try and find anything wrong with United, I hate fans like this. He's linking up with falcao better after 2 games than he ever has with rooney. Our target is top 4 yeah? We're above liverpool, Everton, Tottenham. 3 points behind city and just behind arsenal so for me were on track so how can u slag lvg and rvp off all the time? We're struck with injuries at them moment as well

Diego

I agree with your view on Beast being very negative, however our points total is very deceiving as the top 6 from last year have all had 2 games at least against each other and we yet to play any of them. I think we are 4 to 5 penults short of where we needed to be at this point given the fixtures.

Next week will be proper test and we shall see how competitive we are. A win against everton will go a long way to confirm we are unto something.
