Those dumb comparisons, who have liverpool signed except salah their 2 big transfer don't look like happening either, westham have not yet completed signings of 2 of the 3 players mentioned, city are yet to be even linked to a decent cb their biggest worry last season other than the gk. Also chelsea have signed bakayoko and rudiger both of whom have a lot to prove and long way to go to be called fantastic experienced players.

Also, none of those other teams are Manchester United. I think when Manchester United come calling for a player an extra 10-15 million is added on to that player.

Yeah it would be nice to see players in early, but I also don't want to see the club get ripped off. Let's see how much Morata goes to Chelsea for. Granted we don't know how far we got into negotiations and we can only use the tabloids as a reference, but I should imagine you'll see a difference in price from what we where required to pay.

CSM, Rüdiger is a full German international and doesn't have that much left to prove really. He can improve quite a bit further, but he's quite proven :-)
Morata's fee is reported to be just under 60 million pounds, but with future add-ons it could go up to 70m apparently. Hope it helps.

jackson i did not mention morata as i think he is a good player, also why does rudiger have to improve a lot if he is quite proven player.

Rudiger has quite a bit to prove, as he's never played in England. They're is countless players that have excelled for their country or in different leagues and don't cut it in the premier league, we've had a few ourselves, Jackson.

As for the morata fee, there was reports of real Madrid holding out for 80 million from united. So if Chelsea get him for a reported 58 - 70 million that's quite a difference.

Mourinho loves a whinge and an excuse, it's a very ugly quality of his. If I was Woodward I'd tell him to look within the club and the millions we spend on developing talent.

I think the PL proven thing as overstated. Yes, lots of foreign players have come to the PL and have failed to produce. But that isn't specifically related to foreign players. Players move within the PL to a top club and sometimes they fail to produce as well. Pool for example have bought Benteke, Lambert and Lovren. They all did well at their former clubs, yet they didn't look as excellent when they made the step up to a top 6 club (can't call Pool a title contender just yet) . Sigurdsson failed to fully settle at Spurs as well.
So I don't necessarily think Rüdiger has lots to prove. And being proven has little to do with room for improvement, CSM, surely you realize that. Hazard is proven, yet a lot of people would say he can still improve as a player. Lukaku is proven as a player, yet he can improve further as well. Being proven and having room to improve are 2 different things.
