That's what ed002 had been telling us for years DSG. The ignorance of how the club is run is obvious. Yet people just want to throw stones at somebody / anybody.

Ed002 has said all along that people have no idea how the club works and this shows that, everyone seems to think Ed is doing everything from choosing the players to cleaning the toilets.

All of this is fine, but it is clear that the decision making process is badly flawed. I asked Ed002 yesterday if there were any signs of improvement on this score (particularly regarding lessons learned from overpaying transfer fees, or wages) and told I was rambling. There are clear issues at the top level of the club and really Ed Woodward's name (unfortunately for him) is just being used as a proxy for that level.

I don't think it is always that people believe Woodward personally scouts and does the buying of new players. What people do expect is a more professional and successful recruitment policy from whoever is delegates to do it. Ultimately as chief executive the buck should stop with Woodward. If he sees things are not progressing as they should then surely he should step in to correct mistakes and keep us on track. As others have said we cannot seem to compare with the way City and Liverpool have vlbuikt their squads and that is just plain wrong.

Woodward's the top guy, the man in charge and the very public face of the club. The buck stops with him. If he can't recognise that there are issues or do what is necessary to solve issues then questions have to be asked regard's his competency. He might be a financial whizz but as a club we are badly run. He likes the plaudits when it goes well. He has to take the criticism when it doesn't.
