If what The Guardian say is correct and City have told Udinese that they dont want to go above £25million for Sanchez then that pretty much puts the ball in the players court as Im sure Barca, City and United are all happy to pay £25million. Can you see him being at Udinese next year Ed due to their reluctance to let him go for that fee?

Just to clarify, I meant that as the summer goes on, United will know if they need to keep Berbatov based on whether Welbeck, Macheda and Diouf stay for the coming season, or whether some or all of them go away on loan.

feel that man u should buy nikica jelavic as i feel that he would be a great partner upfront with hernandez and rooney playing off them. if not this season then next, if jelavic is then to stay at rangers and has a season with 20+ goals then rangers next season will placing a price tag or aroung 15m. jelavic is a much greater player than berbatov, as berbatov moans at everything and is soo lazy where jelavic scores overhead kick from the edge of the box (vs aberdeen)

i find it funny that everyone assumes that sanchez is definately gonna one of the worlds best players. He's flavour of the month atm and i'm sure with hard work good training and abit of luck that he could become a great player.....but nothings is certain. He could have a career ending injury he could go off the rails or he could just turn out to be a flash in the pan nobody knows thats my point. For those people who have longer memories xavi was for a long time not deemed good enough for barcelona, no one would have spent 30m on him when he was 22 like wise madrid paid 30m for benzema and although he's not a bad player(just poor form) would you happily spend 30m on him now? Maybe 20-22m at most and thats just a year down the line. Now i'm not saying that sanchez isn't a good player just that atm i've not seen anything in him that makes me think he's worth in excess of 30m atm he may well be worth it in a few years time but not now. If they want more than 20m then they can keep him. Could he carry the team for half a season like nani did last season? I doubt it and nani only cost 14m so in my opinion he is not good value at 30+m. It's highly unlikely that he'll be as good as ronaldo and ronnie only cost us 12m. Lets not waste money that we can hardly afford.

I have just heard this from a journalist friend. David Gill and United representatives are in Barcelona today with Sanchez representatives, Udinese representatives, and senior Barca representatives. The deal being worked on is as follows.
Sanchez will sign a 5 year contract with United for a fee of around 30m. After the 3rd year, Barca will sign the player for a pre-determined fee.
Why is this deal being developed?
Barca cannot guarantee Sanchez first team football at this time, but see Sanchez as a long-term successor to David Villa.
United are keen on Sanchez, and they are guaranteed to get their investment back (other than salary) , and he is kept out of City's clutches.
Sanchez "dream" is to play for both United and Barca during his career.
Udinese are negotiating possible loans moves for United and Barca youngsters to boost their CL campaign.

*Regardless of whether this is true or not, personally I would tell him where to stick it. United isnt a stop gap until he can get football at Barca and I dont see SAF letting any player see us as such. And before anyone names Ronaldo and his dream to play for Madrid, we got 6 good years out of him and nothing was "pre-determined". If the above story was true then I would rather leave Sanchez to City and go after someone who cares about the club.

Well Redfaith perhaps you're right about Aguero? I really can't see both Neymar and him going to Real Madrid. So where will he go? He says he doesn't want to go to Juve. Barca can't afford him. We know Sir Alex has already enquired about him.

It's possible that Aguero and one of Higuain or Benzema will be available this summer.

Ed, any info on Neymar heading to Madrid?

Pato rumours are nonsense, heard Anderson will be given one more season to prove he is good enough and one more midfielder will be brought in. Can't see us going for anymore up top or at the back unless they are signings for the future.
Berba won't leave this season, neither will Carrick, Vidic or Rio.
I've heard the De Gea deal is a lot further away from being concluded than some people would have you believe.
I cant see us picking up Modric either as Spurs will be very reluctant to see us take yet another of their most prized assets.

I am bored with the sanchez stuff it's in every paper all the time, seems to me like their pimping him out to the highest bidder, don't really care if he went to city just for the money.

I think we need to look at cm instead of hoping a potentially good player will join us for a ridiculous fee.

Schweinsteiger - can't see him budging from Bayern. He only signed a new contract at the end of 2010. The usual reason for Bastian Schweinsteiger being linked with other teams and being bored with Bayern Munich is because Bastian Schweinsteiger wants more money at Bayern Munich.

If we have approached Ozil's people, then we must have been given permission to do so by Real Madrid. So obviously they will consider his sale. Is he still not talking to Ronaldo? I know they were not talking to each other a while back. Have Real Madrid lined-up someone else? Has Ronaldo told them to get rid or he will join City? Who knows!

But one thing we know for sure is that we contacted Ozil's agent, so on some level at least, Real must be considering his sale.

take young out of that mix and youve got 4 physically strong players who i feel would be perfect for the epl, sanchez will be playing at a.c milan in a seasons time.

ED many a times we have seen Real Madrid buying our players(Ronaldo, Becks, Nistelrooy) but never have we seen us getting the better players from Madrid, i thought after so many deals with Madrid we might have a kind of understanding with them....

I know that they dont wanna sell Ozil but atleast we should go fo their better players, not their rejects

(Ans as much as i hate liverpool i would like us fighting for the league with them than fighting with Arsenal, Chelsea or City)
