can't say that i'm that bothered about FC going. We were never going to win
the euro's anyway. Always thought he was better suited to club management and day to day involvement. Thing is i don't think HR would be much better. Ok he speaks the language better, knows all the media an can handle them better, but is he suited to international management? Also has anyone told him he can't buy players?

In replacing Capello Hopefuly the FA will remember the success of Mclaren and come in for Mike Phelan......someone else who can say "yes boss"........

I think that Redknapp is the number one taget for the FA, i'm not saying he will be England manager but i think he is the number one target. I think he will finish his job at Spurs since he is building one of the best sides they have ever had.

However, if he does leave, does this make our chances of signing Modric and possibly even Bale in the summer? I think it certainly may extend our chances of signing Modric..

I can only see our midfield going from strength to strength next season with Pogba having more of a role and hopefully Cleverly and Anderson have a good season. I'm wondering though, is a deal for Lampard going to be likely if possible whilst we are waiting for younger targets such as Barkley, Kovacic, etc...

Does anyone have any constructive thoughts on this?

2 great Irish players. Should be the heart of Ireland's midfield and would be great together. Both destined to be great stars and would be perfect playing in a big club alongside each other. {Ed007's Note - Who mate?}

Seeing as Capello has stepped down, which I'm considering a big blow considering the squad have now got to adapt to an entirely new style of play I can see one of 3 things happening...

1) Redknapp takes it now, therefore leaving a spot available at Spurs which I think will be taken over by Joe Jordan until the end of the season and we'll see Mourinho go to spurs.

2) Redknapp simply doesn't get it at all, and it either goes to Big Sam (who I think deserves it) or someone like Steve Bruce.

3) Or, a short term boss will take over until the end of the Euros which will see Redknapp take over...I thought Peirce at first but then he's managing Great Britain just a few weeks after, has he got the time?

What does everyone else think? next England Manager and why?

Bond, Regulars, etc.

P.S - Please leave a name when you post.

The Moon. {Ed007's Note - Not much interest as long as they don't want Neil Lennon ;-) I'd go for Redknapper, even as caretaker Moon.}

I'm not saying i want this or anything, but alot on here think that we have no money so we won't be doing anything in the summer, but here are jsut a couple of players who could make a difference to us in positions that need looking at:

- For Full back we can get Clyne for a nominal fee.

- Montolivo can come in and do a job in the center of the park for free.

- Mehdi Benatia can plug another hole at the back and still be an excellent player.

So even if we have no money, we still have options. I still maintain that we do have money to spend if we need to and Barkley or Kovacic will be on the list. As is Clyne in my eyes. Add a striker, maybe a center back and possibly a winger and we'd of had a good summer.

I've been thinking about it, and does anyone think that if Rooney added consistency to his game that he would be the best player in the world? I mean look at him at the start of the season, absolutely unplayable. Not only that but he does a lot more for his team than Ronaldo and Messi do. Obviously he isn't hugely consistent, but if he were, what do you reckon?

I read this today on mirror football: (cut/paste)

Ravel Morrison is in hot water again after posting a homophobic message on his Twitter page.
The 19-year-old midfielder, who signed for West Ham from Manchester United in the transfer window, was goaded by another one of his followers before responding: "Crack head ? Go suck out u little faggot your a guy that talks if u see me you try slap me I'm in manchester every week."
The tweet was later removed.
Alan Duffy of The Justin Campaign, which was created to tackle homophobia in football, told : "It's disappointing to hear that yet another professional footballer in England has used homophobic language."
Morrison is rated as one of the most talented youngsters to come through the Manchester United academy since the Paul Scholes, David Beckham, Ryan Giggs era, but he was allowed to leave after boss Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly lost patience with him.
This is not the first time he has been in trouble.
Last year he was given a 12-month referral order and ordered to pay £1,445 in costs and compensation after admitting two counts of witness intimidation.
West Ham have so far not made any comment.

 If this has substance, and is true I can see why SAF cut his losses on him. It is one thing to have talent, but to have everything else you need to perform and succeed on the highest professional stage is quite another matter. Morrison it seems has the physique of an adult, but the stunted psyche of a wounded child. Hopefully he'll get the help he needs to grow up, but before that happens, he'll spoil and damage all around him. I am somewhat relieved that the headlines are going to read 'Ravel Morrison of West Ham United' etc rather than ..' of Manchester United ' . Keeping him at OT would have damaged the club globally in the long run. If that seasoned, hardened Glaswegian won't accept his behavior, why should United fans bemoan his loss. For United's sake, I don't.

This Ajax wizkid (Christian Eriksen) we talk about always is exceptional. I have watched him on several occasions and he is just beyound imaginations.I think we have to do anything possible to win his signature before our neighbours join the race.It happened with the case of David Silva,now is Gaitan and will not be surprised it will be Eriksen,since they know that anything Man Utd are interested in, is good.Don't forget when it comes to spending on the transfer market,they are in their element.There is no doubt and it is apparent.

David Luiz "We finished the game angry. The draw wasn’t a fair result as we played well and deserved the victory."

Was he actually playing in this game? United were by far the better team for most parts of the game, Chelsea had ten minutes after half-time which they were the better team. Other than that we were the better team throughout and could have had four penalties. Did anyone watch AVB's interview after the game when the interviewer said that United were the better team, AVB looked amazed and told him that was his opinion, well no AVB, anyone with eyes could tell you that we were the better team.

With the rumour of Ronaldo coming back to United doing the rounds recently ( as much as I would like it I can't see him coming back ) how would people feel if SAF decided to sell Nani and bring in Ronaldo? Obviously Ronaldo is the better player but there were rumours of Nani leaving last summer but he apparently didn't want to leave so showed loyalty towards United. Nani is also younger and is at times unplayable but, Ronaldo brings that fear factor which we have missed since he left. I'd think we would get 30-35 million for Nani and we would have to spend double that to get Ronaldo back. Hypothetically if we were to net spend 50 million then we could also get ourselves a good cm and maybe a left back as well with that? Thoughts?

Well we can all forget about Shaqiri as an option, he was in Munich yesterday for a medical. He is as good as there, that's a shame but I'm sure we'll have other ideas!

You look a fool. Evra used to be the best left back on the planet, Rafael is great and full of potential and Evans has been brilliant for a few months now. Do you watch football at all?
