Guys,

Cesc deal Is dead in the water. United will now offer 50 million for modric and khedira from Madrid. This deal could hinge on Rooney. Madrids boss is a huge Rooney fan, and it could be Rooney plus 20 million for them both.

Here's hoping!

Mufc parkie

1.) Lets hope you are wrong. I would rather go for Cabaye and Fellaini, they would fit in our team far better. The two Real possible discards are amazingly over rated and worth no more than 30 million the two.
Mik

2.) What absolute rubbish!
Madrid have no interest what so ever, not to mention where would he even play

Melwing28

3.) Would rather see us go for Cabaye and Ander Herrera or James McCarthy. Even Will Hughes as long as we get a first choice like Cabaye.

Modric is utterly useless defensively, I know most playmakers aren't great defensively, but he isfar worse than most.

Khedira is ok, a bit dirty but a decent player still. I do think we could do a lot better though.

4.) No chance at all we are not going to line Madrids pockets so they have the funds to buy Bale from under our noses

5.) Cleverley is better than Cabaye and much younger. The grass isn't always greener. If we can't get top quality then we shouldn't buy for the sake of it. Put the youngsters in.

6.) Cabaye and McCarthy rather than Modric and Khadeira! Well I've heard it all now, Jesus Christ

Alex Fergusons Condom

7.) Not it isn't, United are just about to launch a fresh bid.

8.) Not Khedira. Fabregas if not Ozil and Fellaini

9.) Cleverly is nowhere near Cabaye, now I have heard it all. He would go for less than 10 million if we wanted to sell him. People here are amazing sometimes with the utter bs they post. our midfield except carrick and some of our wingers are of zero interest to the bigger teams and mostly deadwood.

We have been trying to move players like Nani and anderson for 2 years now and can't get a semi decent offer from anyone.

Shahram

10.) Mik, what sort of planet are you living on?get a grip. modric and kheidira are two quality midfielders, with champions league experience. Feilini is just a awkward mess of a man that cudnt beat my gran ina sprint!
The only time utd should get him is if we needed a new mop!turn him upside down and mop up the dressing rooms with him,

SuperRed

11.) Cleverley has had one proper full season for Utd and won the league. There is a reason he's playing and challenging for championships and Cabaye is playing for a team battling relegation although he is better than Newcastle. You are talking BS Shahram. Utd need to be signing top quality, Cabaye is not that. He wouldn't improve us much if any. I'd rather play Powell than sign only'good' players. Look at the other signings Gotze, Thiago, Neymar, Isco, Falcao, Cavani and Cabaye! I think not.

12.) Super red - The Real players score very few goals, Fellaini scored a dozen in the EPL last season. Khedira can only play as a holding midfielder and not an especially good one. Fellaini can play anywhere in the midfield or as a striker. Fellaini has completely bossed us in the past two seasons, in a way no other EPL midfielder has. I think at 22 million he's a steal. I'd play him alongside Carrick in deep midfield, to add the steel we've been lacking since Keane was in his pomp. Then buy Cesc/Cabaye/Ozil/Eriksen or a silky playmaker to play in the 3 behind RVP. By the the way, your analysis of Fellaini isn't really very articulate is it and personal insult is a sign of a low IQ. You should try talking football instead of sounding like a drunk.
Mik

13.) Mik, I wasnt trying to be articulate about my analysis of feilaini, how can anyone be articulate about a donkey, because that what he is, a donkey is just a donkey. the fact that you have just tried to say that Feilini is our answer to Roy Keane says everything about your IQ. xavi scored 7 goals for barca, ozil scored 10 for RM, and I bet your going to sit there with your wooly wig on and say Feilaini is a better player than those two!Feilini is just a tall big brut of a man that pushes players of the ball, he's not very skilfull, he's not a great passer of the ball, he doesn't go past players, he's not quick, he's not great at getting into good positions in midfield. the only thing going for Feilaini is his big frame, strenght, and good header of the ball, but that's about it!its not just about scoring goals its about your overall contribution to matches. Feilaini may have taken a few of our players out with rough and ready, but most games he doesn't contribte with skill and vinesse or good tackles may I add. And by the way don't come on here and throw insults at people you do not know because it just shows how narrow minded you realy are!all I done was voice my opinion and I am intitled to my opinion so get over it

Good morning guys,

I told you all a couple of days ago that we will be bidding for alonso if fabregas doesn't come off. Well worry no more because fabregas is coming. Massive rumours in Spain that we will be in for 3rd and final bid of £35 million pounds by Friday and that will be accepted. United have met with fabregas agents, and the new manager is happy to sanction a move so he can buy a couple of new players himself, namely a centre half. It going to be a great few weeks as a red fan, as we bring in cesc, bains, Fellaini, and maybe a striker to let Rooney go. Have some faith in Moyes.

Mufc parkie

1.) I hope your right.

I am not a huge Fellaini fan but if we signed him along with another world class midfielder i. e Fabregas I would be well chuffed as he will bring some steel to the midfield, although I can't see him being our new world class midfielder playmaker.

A summer of Fabregas, Baines, Felliaini and another would be outstanding - I doubt we'll pull it all off but hoping of something like this to happen.

Rumours today are if Madrid get Bale - We'll get Ronaldo and Chelsea will get Rooney lol

2.) It just shows the low expectations that we are now left with if Baines & Fellani are our marque signings!

Let us hope us Mr Fabregas would prefer to play every game rather than be a Barca understudy.

I would still like to see us sign a quality winger I really don't rate Valencia, he has gone downhill IMHO. De Maria looked good when playing on the right for RM, maybe a £30m bid for him might suceed. I would rather spend our transfer kitty on him than wasting £20m on a 28 year old left back!

Dave

3.) I would be extremely happy with that.
I would like to keep Rooney as well, I still think he is a top top player if we get him fit and play him in his preffered position up top just behind RVP.

Simmo

4.) I'm sorry but I have absolutely no faith in United's transfer dealings. We drag our heels way too much and seem incapable of winning any transfer tug of wars (with the exception of Van Persie). If, and it's a very big if, Barca de used to let CF leave I have no doubt other teams would then throw their hats into the ring shock will result in us missing out on yet another target. CF will not become a united player! All of Europe's top clubs have already concluded most of their business making vast improvements to their squads and all we've done is sign a young right back who will probably be farmed back out on loan. I fear our weak midfield will be the same next season as it has been for the past few seasons.
I hope and pray I am wrong.

Born a Red Devil

5.) I think from the players we've been linked to so far this summer I have been left either unwhelmed or surprised by the names.
Firstly I really can't see Fabregas leaving Barca this summer. He has unfinished business there and there's no way Barca will sell Thiago & Fab in the same summer.
Secondly I don't see Fellaini as being Manchester United standard. He was one of the best players in the EPL for 6 months last season but we should be judging our signings against the elite of European football and Fellaini isn't good enough for me.
Thirdly Baines is currently on a par with Evra in my book but Evra has been going backwards in the last two seasons. So he will eventually be a better player so it's worth the punt but not for massive cash. His set pieces are very enviable of course but you have to remember that Evra has been super scoring from corners etc in the last two seasons. Again I think looking ahead medium term this is a sensible signing for the right price.
Lastly Ronaldo, Bale and other superstar signings seem very far fetched at the moment so I wouldn't even listen to the rumours. Also there are precious little top strikers available so we are shooting ourselves in the foot if we sell Rooney late in the window.

Just my current thoughts on it.

RedMonkey

6.) Does anybody get the feeling if we sign quality players that Rooney will stay, I know some people think he is on the way out. I think the real reason Rooney wants out is Fergie is going to be in the background and nothing to do with a fresh start going state etc.

7.) Red Monkey, I couldn't agree with you more!I cannot see cf leaving barca at all. he's being trying to get back there for at least two seasons while at Arsenal. I don't know how people keep going on that Feilini will be our next signing, just because he played under Moyes, doesn't mean we will sign him, we havnt even put a bid in for him and I hope we don't because he is just not good enough!Baines would be a good addition but I don't think we will pay over the odds on him,

SuperRed

8.) Everton fan here but have a soft spot for you guys. I am a bit shocked by the negative comments about baines and fellaini. Baines is easily the best left back in the country at present and fellaini is far better than any of your current centre mids other than carrick. anderson and cleverly are piss poor
Cheeks

9.) Whether you think he was the best left back in the country last season or not, that fact of the matter is baines is super average. And not a player of Uniteds quality. He's 28 and english, the road ahead is certainly downwards for him.

Feillini is a good player, and I have little doubt that he will be in red next year. However I must note that he is not an 'incredible player' and will have difficulties in the CL, most probably picking up lots of fouls.

10.) Everton fan don't worry it apperas only the negative fans are posting at the moment. I for one agree with your statement about Baines but worry about paying to much for a left back when the money could maybe go elsewhere i. e. centre mid or winger? Also agree with your comments about Fellaini being for better than any of our middfield carrick aside. Anderson is not consistant enough and Cleverley is a squad player when injures arrive. United will sign someone big I have no doubt. Good luck next season mate

11.) Cheeks you are spot on I would go as far as saying Baines is the best left back in the world and Fellaini is a total beast of a player I think most are getting a little to carried away with what others say about players there is a bit of a sheep like mentality with some of the posters on here some rumours are said to be fact by eds and other posters so they must be true and other rumours that go about get poo pooed and must be rubbish even if there is lots of evidence and things point to them being the real targets but it is a site full of opinions and I love the reasons for and against why we should sign this player and that but we will all know the transfer we are going to be soon and they will be judged on there merit soon enough. Katef

12.) Sorry cheeks but Fellaini is only good for pl. He'd be shown up badly in the champions league. Too slow, too clumsy and gives too many fouls.

13.) Cheeks,

Sense at last.

A

14.) How refreshing to read a series reasoned arguments and opinions instead of the normal name calling abuse if you happen to deagree. Moyes has rightly identified we need 1 if not 2 CM's I think 99% of us would agree With the signing of CF if it happens. But the other so called targets are speculation and paper talk. I think the clue is in Moyes comments about transfers towards the end of the summer. It would make sense to assess the squad identify who could be sold and exactly what positions we need to strengthen balance against who is available to buy.
Have faith
Acker

15.) Some guys on here would rather play Cleverley, known as Mr Nobody and Anderson known as Fat boy, rather than seeing Fellaini and Cabaye join us. Ok they may not play for a Spanish team, or have egos the size of the Empire State or cost 100 m Euros. However, they are light years better than Mr Nobody and fat boy. We won the league last year with only old people, fat people, nobody's and the wonderful Mr Carrick in our midfield. With Cabaye and Fellaini in place and with a couple of our young players growing close to playing the odd game, we could be an awesome proposition. Also Cabaye and Fellaini would only cost a pair of boots more than Cesc on his own, though I'd still like the Spaniard to come to OT. So for me Fellaini, Cabaye, Baines and a more acclimatised Kagawa looks damn good. If we were to get anyone else on top of these, it would be fantastic. I'd also like Rooney to stay, still a great player, if a little lacking in the IQ area. Angry and confused the poor lad, he must be crying into his bales of 50 pound notes
Mik

16.) To say baines is on par with evra is just laughable!. just have a look at his stats from last year, need say no more. As for fellaini, People saying he's not good enough for utd must not remember the first game of last season when he completely DOMINATED you lot from start to finish!. oh and get ready for your strikers being completely ruined and burnt out by moyes, he's good at that!

17.) Alonso?

18.) Gents, have some faith. Fabregas, and Fellaini and carrick in a midfield three instead of cleverly, Anderson and carrick makes my mouth water. It's going to happen.

Guys,

I have not submitted a rumour for a few month, but read the site a few times a day. Little rumour I have heard is we will switch to alonso if fabregas does not come off. I have a good friend that lives in Madrid, and this has been doing the rounds over there for 24 hours. Don't shoot the messenger. Hope cesc is successful, but alonso wouldn't be a bad buy in my opinion!

Mufc parkie

Mufc parkie

1.) Don't know if we would go for alonso but hey! Things been so weird this transfer window won't be suprise if we do but we will see. I don't think he would be that bad as he can really state his presence in a midfield but I'd rather go for a couple other midfielders than alonso

2.) Wouldn't want him.

3.) Too old! Morris maybe.

Dan h

4.) No your right wouldn't be a bad buy. 5 years ago.

Alman

5.) Alonso is still a class player, would love to see him at United. Would have preferred him a few years ago to be honest. Fabregas would be my first choice out of the two due to Alonso's age, but I wouldn't say no to him. By far Liverpool's biggest mistake was to let him go

Ryan

6.) Ofc it would be worth it just to get up the scousers noses

7.) Alonso is a totally different kind of midfielder to Cesc. He's a deep laying play-maker, pretty much similar in style to Carrick. Whereas it would be good to buy 2 midfielders, an attacking one and a ball winner, I can't see any advantage in buying a player nearing his 32nd birthday.
Mik

8.) Age is just a number. Alonso doesn't rely on pace and could easily have another 5 years in him. He would no doubt improve our squad - decent passer but doesn't mind getting stuck in too.

However I don't know about him being an alternative to Cesc, both would be ideal.

Ben

It's being reported that David Moyes is waiting until after rios testimonial to decide on his new midfield. If Keano and robbo and scholesey perform we'll, then he is willing to revive dads army. Won't cost us a penny and big Malcolm will be delighted!

1.) Who's actually been confirmed to play in that? Heard that Usain Bolt was meant to appear?! Haha that'd be amazing to say the least.
