I would like Rooney to go now, abroad only mind.
Even if he didn't ask for a transfer, he has not be rushing out to put the record straight. He has been a great player over the years, however maybe a parting is best for both parties.
My only concern would be who would replace him?
Welbeck a local lad whom I want to be a great more than anyone, scored twice last year. In my opinion, he can't finish, he is a good player but would he be your first choice?
If Rooney goes we need to buy a new striker, I like Benteke at Villa, he is raw but can finish and has great potential.
