Observation from afar --
When Liverpool lost Shankley, they promoted from within - this happened several times and they stayed on top for many years.
When Fergie selected Moyes as his successor, why on earth didn't you keep the very successful back room staff of Mike Phelan, et al.
The players were effectively under Phelan and his team all week, with Fergie less and less involved. Keeping this level of continuity would have certainly made Moyes' job much easier. Still, it was his choice - but what an error in selecting ex-players who were not the most gifted footballers in the club to say the least!
The only consolation at the minute is that Fergie also got off to a shocking start and was only a game or so off the sack.
Stay positive and reflect on all the success you've had in recent years.
Also remember the likes of us Wednesdayites who have suffered years and years of grief.
Good win tonight though - 3-0 against QPR and a good looking manager in Stuart Gray -- KEEP YOUR HANDS OFF!

Even then we were only in the lower league, but can't for the life of me remember who the opposition was? Because they didn't turn up!

And yes, We've been out of the loop for too long now, in fact last time we were in it, I seem to remember the mighty Johnny Sheridan popping the winner in at Wembley 1991. Even then we were only in the lower league, but can't for the life of me remember who the opposition was? Because they didn't turn up!
