I can honestly say that I am excited for the upcoming season. I think Moyes will show what SAF sees and why he rates him so highly. I watched PNE regularly when Moyes was in charge and he showed great potential and everyone knew he would do well at Everton. I feel the same now! I just hope his training methods don't deter big names from coming, although I still believe signing the rough diamond is the best policy and turn them into a gem. (Vidic, Evra, Carrick) Here's to a great 2013/2014. And to a great sending off that SAF truly deserves.

As the only manager I have known at Old Trafford, thank you for all the triumphant years and great memories. It is truly a sad day for our great club, but one which needed to come one day. It shows the greatness of the man that he wanted to leave his successor with a squad and structure in place to continue our run of glory.

BBC Just announced SAF to retire on their website! A sad day in our history hopefully he will still have a hands on role at the club! #greatestmangerever
1.) Omg its true, I can't believe it
2.) Its moyes to take over done and dusted giggs on another year contract so moyes will do as he is told and play him, could not see jose playing giggs

Hi all.
First post but long time reader.
I just wanted to say that today I am really disappointed by many united fans showing their disgrace at the way our team are playing and grinding out results. We had a huge upset last year that our noisey neighbours got one over us and took our crown.
Surely the sole target for the season was to take back what is ours. I agree we haven't been playing as fluid attacking football seen in seasons past but for a team re structuring and going through a transision period to be 15 points clear at the right end of the season cannot be seen as anything other than a successful season. SAF and his dedicated staff have done it again. We all know we need more flare and a few additions in the summer, especially in midfield. But I feel more "fans" need to show the team the backing they deserve after what has been a difficult season so far.
Rant over.
J4cko.
1.) I completely agree and to be honest never thought we would win the league after watching another summer transfer window and no midfielders.
All in all delighted with where we are in the league and maybe in some ways the lack of signings last summer was that the manager thought that Anderson would come good this year and fletcher would be back.
From my posts everyone knows I am not wild about the way we play but again incredible achievement when you look at the table.
I do think the manager will make 2 midfield signings this summer and has finally made up his mind on the fringe players. He is very astute and can see what we are all seeing.

2.) Good post, keep them coming!

I agree this would be the perfect scenario, however do we have the back up squad to play without wingers all the time?
