We have the opportunity to get a world class player yet seem incapable of "doing the deal".
Ozil would definitely improve our team yet we seem obsessed with Fellaini who IMO simply doesn't and a left back we don't need.
I posted on here when Moyes was appointed it wasn't the right choice and got shot down with it being a "transition year". One wonders if the shame slack will be given to the new managers at Barca, RM, Munich, Chelski & City?
If we set the bar low enough we won't fail! The club have sat back and prayed for a good start to the season so they could say "no need to buy we have a good enough squad" now we are panicking.
Moyes made an absolute person of himself yesterday in the press conference, he must think the fans are stupid. I for one haven't brought my new shirt yet in protest!

@Dougal. Those you mention will get better, we have papered over the cracks for 2/3 years, no Scholes/Giggs/Ronaldo replacements. We won a weak league last year and didn't progress in Europe. With what we have do you see us challanging Bayern/Barca/Real? It is not so much pessimistic, we support the biggest club in the world we want the best. The club get my $'s from membership/shirt sales/tickets etc, I just like to see it spent well!

I can see the similarities to when SAF took over, however we as a club were in a different position and football is rather a different animal. With fickle sponsors and sky only really wanting to show the top teams finding ourselves in middle table mediocracy will inhibit sponsorship deals and share price.
I come back to the fact the club didn't keep to their own given requirements for a new manager, i.e European experience & sucessful. Moyes doesn't qualify, and all these people saying give him time? He had 10 years at Everton and achieved what? I think Bill Kenwright would be most pleased with the progress Martinez has made and if offered Moyes back you would get a flat no!
Moyes is probably a nice bloke, very unlucky from what he has said himself, but he is not, and never will be the type of quality manager our club demands. You can only look back at history, he was average at Everton, the same players under a different manager are now well above us and have beaten us. I am affraid he has to go & sooner rather than later.
Are you having a laugh Fresh! We are well short of a good first 11! Jones is always injured. Smalling can be very uninspiring at times and I see Evans as a squad player.
Carrick is slowing down (if that is possible) & the Wig is not United class never will be.
We need 2 CB's, at least 2 DM's and a winger!

Nani or Valencia - Sell
Buttner - Give away
Cleverly - Sell, if possible!
Hernandez or Wellbeck - Sell
I would keep Evra for one more season and alternate with new, younger left back.

1, maybe 2 Centre Backs
1 Left Back
2 Def Mid
1 Striker
