On the assumption that David Moyes will be allowed another summer transfer window to rebuild this underperforming rabble, who should we be shipping out? I suggest: Rafael, Ferdinand, Nani, Young, Carrick, Cleverley. Some of these players have been brilliant but now deserve a happy retirement or an easier job but some have never been up to scratch for OT.

Do any of the Eds know whether any clubs would be interested in signing any of this lot that are still young enough to play?

{Ed002's Note - Vidic will be gone. Rafael will find work without much problem on the continent. I am not so sure Carrick will be moving but Young and Cleverley could easily find mid table work in the EPL. Rio will retire to become a DJ and then a baddie in David Beckham's first film as the new James Bond.}

1.) I think carrick should stay he has great experience but otherwise other than Mata i'm good with a clear out. Cleverly has stalled and that was before this season, Young is no way a Utd player, Nani plays well depending on which way the wind blows. We have to be ready for a few seasons of rebuilding because even if we do get lots of good new players we seem to forget they have to gel and buy into the Utd ethos.

2.) Carrick and Cleverley should stay, they do nothing wrong and help make up the squad. Similarly Rafael, he was brilliant under SAF, as his performances have deteriorated what has changed? The manager. Has RVP become a worse player over night? No he just can't get on with Moyes and Moyes doesn't get them doing the right things. I suggest the problem is Moyes as some of these are class players that don't need replacing. I agree we need to cut lose the deadweight, but replacing our current classy players because they don't like Moyes isn't the way.

3.) First team (squad) players I can see going are Vidic (of course), Ferdinand (retiring), Giggs (retiring), Young (mid table EPL), Nani (Italy), Hernandez, Macheda, Bebe, Anderson, Kagawa.

The rest will remain as squad players at least.

But who are "we" in your question? I thought for years that Moyes was the right man to pick up after SAF but it is becoming clear that he is paralysed by indecision and caution. Leave aside the players bought, missed and sold, the guy seems to find it impossible to make changes when things are obviously going wrong. Leaving the wrong line-up on the field on Sunday until minute 75 was just not good management. Rodgers taught a lesson and he's not eh first to do so.

I feel for Moyes, he took the team as a lot of veteran greats were coming to the end of fine careers an I don't think the Board saw this type of outcome this season and the money focus will make them throw a very decent man overboard.
