Having slept on it, last night’s Europa League Final loss still stings — but it’s time to look ahead. The final game of the season now becomes irrelevant. What matters is what comes next.

We need a rebuild. Not just in personnel, but in mindset.

This obsession with superstars, huge transfer fees, and bloated wages has to stop. The entire squad needs an overhaul. We need players who want to be here. Who buy into a vision. Who will run through walls for the shirt and bleed for their teammates. That’s what made United great — not egos, not PR signings.

Garnacho’s post-match comments? He’s already halfway out the door. And while he’ll be a big loss, if his heart isn’t in it, we move on. His transfer fee will help reshape the squad. Same with Casemiro. A warrior and a winner, but his legs are gone. We can’t carry passengers anymore — we’re not an elite team right now, and we can’t pretend otherwise.

Will things change? Time will tell. But with no more cup wins papering over the cracks and no more excuses left to make, now is the time to cut deep and start again. Fix the rot that’s been festering for far too long.

This isn’t just a rebuild. It has to be a reinvention.

{Ed025's Note - im with you Philip, except that Garnacho and Cas would be a big loss, good riddance i would suggest mate..

Agree on both, IMHO there is a world class player in Garnacho and the right manager, and maybe right league will bring that out. I just don't think his head is here anymore and we will ultimately see him go.

Casemiro is one of my favourite players, you can see how passionate he is but watching him struggle like he has lead weights in his boots as heart breaking and unfortunately we can't afford to carry anyone. In a team of 10 good players with engines you would probably not even notice and he would be an unbelievable asset. Unfortunately we are not that team. Think of when Scholes came out of retirement, he wasn't the same but team more than covered.

Gonna be an interesting summer, I'm praying we get a keeper, and a few that know where the goal is!

100% have to let Casemiro go we cannot carry a player on such a high wage who cannot cope with the prem, garnacho demonstrates over and over he's selfish not just in his play on the pitch but comments like this we cannot afford that, we have to have a smaller team next year supplemented by youth players now we have no European football.

Last night showed how much we need to improve our forward line I think we need 3 forwards (2 am 1st) maybe 4 depending on depending on hojlund/ zirkzee.

Cassemiro, fernandes, eriksen, lindelof, mcguire should all go because of age. McGuire could stay one more year as an elder statesman- but he will then go for free next summer. So better to clear house right now. Take the money for bruno, in 2 years (our best hope of being back in europe) he will be far too old, so why take him on that journey. We need to let the new leaders come through.

Others need to ho to find the change, or simply because they are not good enough.

Struggling to think of many I want to keep, Yoro is the only real shining light from this year. Looks a player, and he could help us turn the page to a new day.

I would love to see Shaw gone aswell, plus all the players out in loan. But the stupid contracts we gave out likely mean Casemiro, shaw and possibly others are here next season.
