These matches are very hard to watch as a united fan. It seems so hard for us to beat any team that is decent.
I am happy we picked up 3 points but not sure where we are going and was this a start of something or just a win along a series of bad results coming our way.
I like Amorim but his conduct on the touchline is puzzling and not sure what to make of it. sitting with his head down whilst still 15 minutes to go is very strange behavior and not sure it does any good for the team moral or confidence.

Ahmad,
It's a case of, you can take a horse to water, but you can't make it drink.

In your opinion they are, but personally I think we are playing the best and most entertaining football we have seen since the days of SAF.
We are more fun to watch then under any Moyes, LvG, Jose, Ole, Rangnick, and EtH.
We create more chances and play with more freedom. We look exciting and likely to score (even if the finishing is lacking right now) .
Sure the results aren't what we would want, which is frustrating. But the performances are getting better and if you get the performances right then results will come.
For all the talk about our midfield being "non-existent" we actually look fine in most games for the first 60 minutes or so. It's when players begin to tire that gaps start to open up. A lack of quality options off the bench and for rotation is making it difficult to maintain levels for the whole 90 minutes.
We have the 5th best defensive record in the league in terms of chances conceded. We would be higher if it wasn't for the individual errors presenting multiple opportunities to the opposition.
Ultimately two things are holding us back.
1. Individual errors at both ends, keepers gifting chances (4 of the 6 goals we have conceded are from keeper errors), while a lack of finishing (highest number of shots taken in the league and the second highest xG) .
Simply put it the keepers didn't make those errors and we scored on par with our xG we would have 9 points from 3 games.
2. A lack of squad depth in key positions meaning players lack true competition for places and the ability for rotation to maintain performance levels.
The first issue will hopefully improve as confidence levels rise.
The second issue needs further investment in the squad.
Neither are the fault of the manager.

Shappy, I have to agree with you here. As you probably saw from the live chat, I was in the Mariners ground with my neighbour on his sons ticket the other night. Say what you will, but it was a great night of football, absolute Roy of the Rovers stuff, and I really enjoyed the night even though they came out on top (and gave themselves club history forever) . The manager looked downcast towards the end, and the home crowd picked up on it, making it even worse for him.
As mentioned earlier, RA has the same stats now as SAF when he first came here.
It will come together, players will gel, but when things go wrong, which they will, he needs to stand in front of his team, not behind it peeping out as he seems to be doing currently.
"Sometimes I hate my team, sometimes I like my team. "
Different country, different culture and English as a second language doesn't help him when he comes out with things like that.
And as for rotation. why does he back off from giving the young bucks a chance? Sideways Shaw seems a continual shoe in, but Leon, where he? Heaven on earlier, why not?
It's a funny old game.

Best entertaining football since fergie?
Entertaining football is when you score a lot and create a lot have beautiful passing patterns and build up play and we have none of that.
we have our worst output under this manager since fergie both in terms of points and goals scored. stop bs and be real.
