We haven't had much chat about January with the window approaching. What do people think the realistic ins and outs are. Personally I think it will be very quiet with little either way.

Will Mainoo stay? He seems pretty unhappy.

If he goes on loan, does a Gallagher or possibly Baleba at a push, come in?

Midfield looks light due to amorim not trusting ugarte and mainoo. We are fools if we don't bring in a midfielder. But we can be pretty foolish, so who knows.

Outs = unfortunately Mainoo, hopefully a loan but maybe permanent.

Ins = assume we will get a CM on loan like we did with Sabitzer a few years ago.

Mainoo out on loan, possibly a loan coming in as replacement.

Don't think they'll be any permanent transfers coming in. January isn't really a good month and we probably won't have funds available.

We have Rashford, Hojlund, Sancho, Onana, Amass and Colyer all out on loan. I expect we will do a bit of business in the summer if we can turn some of these loans into permanent deals.

I'd imagine malacia zirkzee mainoo and ugarte are all available in January if the right offer or interest comes.
A Gallagher loan probably will come to fruition if we move on one of the 2 midfielders.
A forward might be brought in if we find someone with the right profile and zirkzee moves.

The January before a world cup is always a good opportunity to get loans in. Bolton used to be the masters of this. Some of the deals they used to pull off were fantastic.

I agree Peter. There has to be some good options that are in a similar position to Mainoo.
Gallagher perhaps and he does bring that intensity that Amorim appears to be after.
As usual it will depend on terms of loans and any obligations thereafter.
Ugarte mainoo and zirkzee and perhaps malacia are all potential outs if we can find replacements for any of them.
