Hi Ed, hope you are well?

Has there been any progress on any outgoing players at United so far this summer? Our squad is huge and is about to get bigger with Sancho and maybe Varane arriving.

Players like Jones, Dalot, Williams, Lingard, Pereira etc all taking up space but would at best make the bench. I'm guessing we've already priced players out of a move this summer as well.

{Ed002's Note - Agents are working on finding homes for players who are available to move on.}

Thanks very much Ed. Good to know that work is ongoing to at least try to move on some of these players.

Just waiting for Phil Jones to pick up his next injury that rules him out until after the transfer window closes.

Of all the players at the club who aren't regular first choice in their position, Telles is one of the few who I don't understand why we'd let him go easily. Telles is a good player, that's the level we want our backup players to be.

To be honest while our in coming transfers have been poorly handled on the whole. It is the out goings that are the real problem.

Romero, Jones, Dalot, Matic, Mata, Lingard, Andreas Pereira and Chong all need to leave on permanent deals.

One of Henderson or DDG need to move on. As does one of Bailly or Tuanzebe.
Does James have a long term future, should he leave permanently or on loan.
Pogba needs to be moved on.
What is the situation with Donny? Does he stay and fight for a place, or does he leave?

Then we have the players who need loans sorted out. Mengi, Laird, Williams, Garner, Hannibal, Pellistri, Shoretire, Elanga, maybe even Amad.

We have a bloated squad, many of whom are either not good enough or on the decline. They block the pathway for our talented young academy players, and restrict our ability to sign new players.

While our signings have been very hit and miss, while lacking in being part of a cohesive larger vision.

However, it is the inability to move players on that is the real failing.

Shappy - "However, it is the inability to move players on that is the real failing. " totally agree but as said before there are other problems at utd from the infastructure, building etc down to the p. poor customer/ fan service in certain areas.

Funky, of course there are loads of other issues top to bottom. All I'm really talking about is the issues with creating/ assembling a team capable of challenging for top honours.

I suspect that if like when Sir Alex was in charge the team is performing well and winning titles. Then I suspect for most fans the poor investment in infrastructure/ fan service etc wouldn't be such an issue.

However, not having a team that is consistently challenging means the spot light is drawn on all areas of the Glazer ownership in an attempt to find out what is going wrong.

re -read Shappy agree with you - adding further that the whole infastructure and everything mufc needs addressing. Like a lot of things in life and business taking the eye off seemingly smaller issues can / does effect the bigger ones or those perceived as such.
I read all the eds comments as you probably do and its blatantly obvious deuction that the club is run in an amateurish way, pointed out numerous times Ed002 is it not?
Lets face it, we are not a total football club, we are a multi million business and can't seriously succed if we are run from a b&q shed by someones uncles first boyfriend who had a football in his nans garden!
I agree the playing staff and indeed it commands mega bucks, but its taken 2 decades to get a director of football and probably a decade since carrington was given £200 worth of paint. I want us to be despised on all fronts not just the envy of fans for trophies that we have tried to win with over 1 billion of investment- not that much different to spurs over the last 8 years in that way but they have amazing facilities and a cracking stadium- and you can get the phone answered by a bloody human!
