Wonder how Rooney feels at the moment . During the summer RVP, Falcao, Chicharito moved on and he started the season as the main man and was going to be our centre forward . Now he's been shifted from the No. 9 spot to make way for a kid he'd never even heard of a month ago.

Takes some of the pressure off him and means he can drop deep I think he doesn't mind too much to be honest.

If Rooney gets a bit of form back (he now has 2 in 2 games and 5 in his last 5, he's well known for putting runs of goals together) then we have a making of a fantastic front 2, I think they actually compliment each others games pretty well and there are signs of it already.

Martial being up there means Rooney is in more of a 'free role' behind the striker where he can drift around and also get back and be the 3rd man in midfield and look for the ball which is his natural game anyway. If there is anyone at United that thinks Martial playing for us is a bad thing then they shouldn't be playing for United.

I reckon Rooney prefers to play just off of the main striker anyway. He can be more involved and roam around. It seems to be suiting him more now that martial is there creating the space. Rooney has hit 5 in 5. I'd say he is thinking thank God I'm scoring. If Rooney continues his form, it means man utd will have a fantastic chance of silverware this season.
