You can only complain about quality if the 11 on the field play to their best and come up short. This team will not improve by much even if we bought 4-5 more players. Feels like I am seeing the death of a giant. hope the board are hanging their head in shame.

We need three or four top players on a few key positions and we will be ok. Too much gloom and doom about that. More important is to get the football as opposed to the business side of the club running properly.

You’ve got blinkers on mate. Few players and we’ll be alright, we’ve been saying that for 6 years. This team is struggling to keep up with the top 8 or 9 in the league, and can’t beat European minnows. It’s a shambles and there is serious issues from top to bottom. We could sign Messi and it won’t make a difference.

Think you should add another 4 players to the list of 3 or 4

Even our subs are garbage.

This is the speech for the last 6 or 7 years, guess what, after aprox 800M spent and you still hoping to be "ok".
10 years from now we will be here staying the same thing.

The main issue yesterday was midfield.
No creativity, no control, no legs.
The number of times Fred gave away the ball was shocking.

Oles gambles have not paid off. His decision to let Rashford lead the line was always going to be a big one and it's backfired. He's just not a leading striker. And I know you'll be on saying "But Lukaku wanted out". He only wanted out because Ole persevered with Rashford last year when his record was 2 goals in 12. Lukaku done well when he was called upon.

He clearly wasn't backed as he should have been in the summer, but the team we put out every week are so devoid of ideas and solutions it's like we've never played as a team together.

As Salford7 said, get a manager that has a clear way of player and let the club grow from there.

Mumbles what managers available?

Mumbles, I think Martial was actually chosen to lead the line, unfortunately he was quickly injured. Ole gets a lot of blame, but the players last night were simply dire, Matic and Fred were terrible. If I'd point any criticism at Ole it would be that Fred stayed on the pitch. You can have the best tactics in the world and the best manager but if players can't pick out a 10 yard pass, it will just fall apart.

Our main problem is not scoring enough goals. If we bought in Lewa or another goalscorer (Fernandez) we wouldve been fine.

Goals win u matches and at the moment we don't have players tht cn do tht apart from Martial.

Mort, ed002 said one of the decisions to be made was paying the £16 million for Pochettino. Go cap in hand to Aleggri and see could we salvage the relationship after dicking him around 4 years ago.

Once the club have started talking to 3rd parties about the future of the manager, then it's only a matter of time before he's sacked. The results and performances are abysmal.

If we can't get out first choice manager. Sack Ole and let Wenger have it until the end of the season while we do our due diligence and appoint someone who is actually qualified to manager out club.

And Mort, still waiting how you "proved me wrong" yesterday?

{Ed002's Note - Not £16M - a lot more than that.}

LLV, Martial is up front this season but last season when Lukaku was on the bench, Rashford was leading the line. I think it was a smart move by Ole swapping Rashford and Martial.

Last year sure, but Lukaku was terrible in the formation, he needs crosses and he was the only player able to put in a good cross. I actually thought he looked OK on the right last year when he played there, because he can actually whip in a good cross. That's what annoyed me the most last night, the amount of good crosses the AZ players were able to put into the box, we either hit the first defender to lumped it to the other side of the field, and that's been the case for years.

I thought it was £35 million. That seems a lot for a coach who's currently struggling, whose club forms as bad as ours, is poor in the transfer market and has never won anything. Even the failed Cardiff manager TM and (c) has won something.

Have we even started talking to other managers?

Mumbles you said no managers at all get time to build a squad I pointed out Liverpool backed klopp to do his rebuild. You could also argue Poch although I think he's done poor transfer wise.
