Jobs for the boys continues I see.71 yr old Neil Warnock replaces Woodgate at boro. How many jobs is that now that Warnock has had, I'm sure the fans are ecstatic. If you are a young aspiring coach you really must wonder why you bother as it's the same carousel of old names every time jobs come up.

I know, imagine a championship team getting a manager who has an extremely good record at managing in the championship and bringing teams up to the Prem when they are struggling down at the bottom, bet they are distraught.

Or maybe Warnock is actually a pretty competent manager in the lower divisions?

Yeah get an unproven manager which is a gamble, or get a manager which knows the league and has been promoted a fair few times? Not rocket science is it.

Not my cup of tea but he does s good job in that league. Gives it his all had great ecoerience and knowledge. He seems to be a very fit 71. Decent appointment i'd say for a club clinging onto their championship status.

Nobody can knock Warnock's record in the Championship. He gets teams promoted or out or trouble and he's bloody good at it as well.

I think you need to be fair to Middlesbrough here. They gave Johnathan Woodgate with precious little experience the job, unfortunately he hasn't been up to the task. They also gave Garry Monk the top job previously. So they have given young managers a chance. Sadly both weren't able to get them where the club wanted to be.

After Monk they went with experience and brought in Pulis. This time they are bringing in Warnock.

As much as I want to see young managers get a chance, the reality is that clubs can't afford to be relegated, especially this year with the impacts of C.V. hitting Championship and lower division teams particularly hard.

I don't think you can be too harsh that in this situation they are more prepared to back a man who has been their and done it before over the guy who has great ideas but very little to back that up in terms of evidence of past work.
