When they lift the trophy, it's going to be like seeing your ex bird with a new bloke.

If this doesn't serve as motivation to the club, nothing will. Ole gets the rivalry and we know his feelings on Liverpool. Sir Alex will be seething to anyone who will listen. Sir Bobby will be asking questions. Of course the official line is ' Well done. Well deserved etc'. This has to serve as motivation to the club as a whole, not just the team. Things need to improve. They must evolve. We can't fall any further behind our two biggest rivals.

When City wins, we have the excuse of pointing at their billions. Liverpool have won by restructuring throughout. From new training facilities, updating Anfield, superb recruitment and a modern style of football that uses a system that gets the best of each player. There is no square pegs in round holes in that team.

It hurts. It should hurt. The fans, the players and all the staff from the coaches to the stewards. I fear the only ones who won't understand how much it hurts are the owners and Ed. Still, we live in hope and look forward. Our season is still alive and I would be delighted with top 4 and a trophy. That would still make our season a success and it will enable us to evolve a bit more.

GGMU.

why would anything change when the club makes millions for the owners.

no one gives a crap about on field honors at the club as long as the bank balance is still good.

Good post jamesmack. The message and feeling should be congratulations to the best team this season by a country mile, but we are going to come for you.

The challenge has been laid to the club; can they step up and do what’s needed, which doesn’t just mean splash the cash on new players (although it helped Liverpool when done properly) .

I’m afraid to say next season the scousers are even clearer favourites for the league. I don’t see any of the scousers big stars leaving, re C.V. or whatever. City the closest but have holes all over the place that will be hard to fill. United and Chelsea are work in progress.

Lastly I’m personally delighted that a new generation of Liverpool pundits has been sealed for us to enjoy on every screen.

Rave,

The bookies have city as favourites mate.

Oh, the bookies, they must be right.

Like rave, I personally believe Liverpool are favourites given how they have dismantled everyone in the league this year.

{Ed047's Note - I’m not having raves comment that City have holes all over the place, really?

If they have holes all over the place what does that say for you and the rest of us?

It’s my opinion making scousers clear favourites; I don’t make my mind up by the bookies odds.

Ed for me it simply means United have more holes than city. City have some key players knocking on a bit/ injury prone/ leaving. Thinking Fernandinho, aguero, Silva. Weaknesses at left back, centre half, I honestly don’t think Jesus is all that (not a patch on replacing Aguero) . They have for me the best player in England in KDB, plus other top attacking talent, but no solidity. Very beatable.

{Ed047's Note - Rave don’t really know what to say to that fella but good luck finishing above them next season.

Ed I don’t know what to say to that apart from they are a better team and will finish above us, but they won’t beat Liverpool to the title. Just my view.

{Ed047's Note - yes mate, no problem with your view but my view was you’re dismissing City as if they’ve little hope.

Incredible team with a fantastic manager and owners who want to win.
