Well, it wasn't so long ago we would have really struggled in last nights fixture, we dominated however. Yes I know Brighton rested a few but that could have been tricky.
Bruno Fernandes, what can I say that's mot already been said, he is world class for me and is bringing out the best in everyone around him.
Rash, Martial, Greenwood up top with Bruno and Pogba pulling the strings is the way to go now for me, Matic has had a new lease of life and the defence looks solid enough howver would like to see Williams in that first team.
Ole certainly has got United playing like we know we should and takes credit for along with Phelan, Carrick and Co.
It takes time, a few of us said it but chopping and changing continually breeds instability, now we are seeing fruits of sticking by 1 idea.
We still have a way to go until we can challenge for the title but Oles recruitment has been excellent so far, add another couple of Bruno quality to this and we aren't that far away.
15 unbeaten, fair play.

We've witnessed our fair share of false dawns at Old Trafford since the great SAF retired over 7 long years ago but maybe we are slowly assembling a team that we can feel proud of once again.

The acquisition of Fernandes has galvanised an entire football Club that was quickly becoming a breeding ground for apathy and mediocrity. Whilst Fernandes talent is obvious it is his leadership that has perhaps had the most profound effect on this Utd team. His work ethic, professionalism and appetite for the game has served as a shot in the arm for some players and he has almost single handily improved the standards of the entire squad. You can see he is demanding of his team mates and he is now setting the standard that others must follow. Fernandes has taken responsibility for this Utd team which has helped ease the pressure on others. Rashford (perhaps understandably) has struggled slightly since his return from injury yet he can now slowly play his way back into form relatively free from the burden of having to fire this team back into the hunt for top 4. Without Fernandes influence he would have undoubtedly faced more scrutiny and criticism from the media and even an element of our own fan base.

It's too early to know if this upturn in form is just temporary or something more permanent but it also illustrates the fact that good recruitment can transform a team from relative mediocrity to something much better in a short period of time. Whilst talent is undoubtedly important, a good attitude, temperament, work ethic, leadership and professionalism are equally essential.

I think this summer will be crucial for our continued development and big decisions must be made about Pogba and possibly Sancho.

I think we can feel cautiously optimistic about the future. whilst I think we all appreciate it will be difficult to reach the levels of consistency displayed by City and Liverpool over the last few years hopefully we can look forward to watching some decent football on a more regular basis at the very least.

Great posts both of you, agree with everything. Such a good feeling waking up thinking back to the game the night before and realising we are actually quite good now. It’s been a while.

Like I said below, I think Bruno could have a similar effect on this squad of players to that of Cantona in the 1990's.

We have a group of young talented players, AWB, Tuanzebe, Shaw, Williams, McTominay, Rashford, James, Martial and Grrenwood, who need that leader, that person who brings that extra 10% out of them, the player to inspire them. Bruno could be that player to them as Cantona was to the likes of Neville, Butt, Scholes, Giggs and Beckham.

Whether he manages it and how far this young side can go remains to be seen, but in the 13 games, we have won 9, drawn 4, lost NONE, scored 31 goals and conceded 4.

Perhaps the key now for Greenwood is to avoid being predictable by working on his dribbling and learning how to get to the line and whip a cross in, or hit a cross first time on the run.
