Looking at Cavani play over the last while, I believe there are years left in the guy at the top level. Managed correctly and without injury he could easily play until 36. He's so clever in managing his stamina on the pitch and sometimes looks to have more energy than those younger than him. An incredible professional.

We should have got him at the beginning of the window.
Our decision makers' poor planning resulted him being unavailable for the first 4-5 weeks.

His work off the ball is exactly what Martial must learn. The man never stops running, always harasses the opponent defense. Fantastic professional.

It does make me laugh when people say how old he is, he’s younger than Vardy I believe who has a ridiculous work rate. I think the worry about him wasn’t his work rate or ability over the last couple of years but his injury record, when he plays he is good he just hasn’t been able to contribute enough. Ole has managed him very well so far and has to be given some credit for that (apologies) and I agree he could have another couple of seasons at this level. He better stay until we get fans back anyway, he’s one I can’t wait to watch live, his movement is incredible.

was a panic buy, spent all summer chasing sancho but he is class.

Sancho is a winger and Cavani is a Striker. I think we bought him as cover and as an upgrade to Ighalo. But so far he has been a revelation.

Wish we'd gotten him years ago when we were repeatedly linked to him. But his impact, and even that of the much more limited Ighalo when he played, shows our need for that sort of player. A number 9, a physical presence, someone with intelligent movement. Realistically we won't have Ed for many more years due to his age, so I hope management can see the need for a player of that profile and can identify and sign one. Haaland seems the closest fit, maybe even an upgrade, but I don't think we will get him mush as I'd love it.

I remember when we were linked with Zlatan, I said at the time I would have preferred Cavani.

Both class players, and since he joined I really took a shine to Zlatan. He says things with an arrogance but with a smile and a glint in his eye that he doesn't totally believe it and he's just playing a game to keep himself entertained.

However, Imagine if we got a Cavani 5 years ago.
