Any truth in the rumours of Mason Greenwood being loaned out to Atalanta? Will this have any bearing on a potential deal for Rasmus Hoijlund?

Unrelated but certainly a nice conversation starter and broker for Hoijlund and resolves Atlanta's issue for replacing Hoijlund. You could argue they would actually be getting a more established player.

Sounds like a wise move from the club. He's a really good player, no doubt about it. But the baggage and the clubs reputation are at stake. He will end up at a top club in a couple of years when the dust has settled down. I wouldn't be surprised if psg take a punt on him to replace mbappe.

Why would mason leave permanently?
a loan for 12 months is good for all parties for various reasons, all ultimately football related and nothing to do with morality.

People need to get off their high horses and understand there is no morals or values in football.

Clubs like forest green rovers might break the mould, but they will forever be a small club and win nothing significant. Any club who acts the same as them will also be very unsuccessful regarding meaningful trophies.

The people who don’t want qatar ownership are most likely the same people who don’t want greenwood to play again. They use morality as the main reason, but we cannot compete if we don’t act like the rest of the clubs who are state owned and would have no issues with greenwood if he played for them.

If every footballer that made a mistake had to be moved onto another club, there would be an extra 10,000 transfers per season!
