Hey all, long time reader of the site, long time lurker, have made a few posts over the last few years but finally made an account :)
Anyway, with Rooney breaking the record last weekend, my best rooney moments have been running through my head and I thought i'd ask here what other fans' best moments were?
I'll go first. The most memorable moments for me are: the overhead v city; the volley v newcastle; his chip v portsmouth in the fa cup; the assist from van der sar for rooney v villa in early 2011 and the assist for rvp v villa to win the league in 2013; and

That breakaway goal against Arsenal - involving himself, Ronaldo and Nani. Pace, power, precision . perfection.

Patrick, I agree but I think it was Park mate, not Nani

Pretty sure it was Park if you're thinking of the one in the cup.

There was a breakaway goal involving Nani but the one with Ronaldo was with Park in the CL semi final. Rooney finished the Nani one by sprinting the length of the pitch as fast as I've ever seen him run to get on the end of a Nani pass. Put us 2-0 up I believe in a league game.

Going one season with no hair to having hair the next, now that's not easy.
A young wayne rooney scoring a hatrick on his debut.

For me his late goal against Milan in the 3-2 win at Old Trafford was the best moment.

When he had his pace and acceleration Rooney on the counter was some animal!

His debut hat trick. When you look at very expensive teenage signings he had been one of the most exciting and arguably the midst successful.
