If results go as on expected today then the top 6 will be the 6 most of us expected albeit Chelsea will only be 5th. I think the games between the top teams could determine who finishes where and I hope that for the most part we take it to them when we play them. Chelsea seemed to set up defensively yesterday and whilst it limited the threat they still lost.

I look at City, Chelsea, Liverpool and I think we can cause them real problems, can't wait for the games to roll around.

I agree with that AJH. I think we can have any of the top teams.

Even watching the game yesterday and how city controlled it, I still think we will create many more problems against them.

As much as it pains me to say it (as a Liverpool fan) - You are looking pretty special. You've battered everybody you've played since Basel so credit where credit is due. Unfortunately for you lot though, your first loss will come against us :) lol but to be honest right now, I'd take a draw.

Tony

I picked city to win the league with us finishing second and spurs and chelsea to fill in the top 4 and still believe that will be the way it finishes. I think our first 11 is good enough to win against any first 11 but don't believe we have the bench to replace key players if they get injured i. e. pogba, Likaku.

Whilst in games like yesterday we were just fine i think against the likes of chelsea and city especially away from home we need our best to get a result. I think we are one summer away from ticking all the boxes.

Bang on x. Although i put us down to win as i could never think otherwise personally. Keeping key players fit where our replacements are sub standard against the best teams will be the key for us. A bit of luck in key moments would also help. City look good too but its only 7 games. So many things can hapoen.

Hate to say it but City are much better than us at the moment apart from centre backs and goal keeper. And those positions they aren't much worse. They are playing and pressing with pace and as a team. Shearer highlighted it on MOTD. I still think we have a way to go but we are on our way.

Ajh, of course we can anyone trouble. We should. But as I've said all along, City are looking excellent and their defence is their attack. The system Pep is playing is a repeat of Barcelona days. They are pressing at every opportunity and have high possession stats. It's easy to say we can hurt them, but we need to get the ball off them first. I also think the two centre backs are gelling very well and as I said months ago, their GK will be one of the best in 3 years time. I was impressed the way they controlled Hazard. Against us, he creates havoc and has been a thorn in our side.
Hope we can go to our competitors and put up a show. We have the players to hurt teams, but we need brave tactics and system to beat them.
We'll see how far we've come when we play the Scousers at Anfield.

City have demolished Liverpool and took 3 points away at Chelsea. I would say their points total whilst the same as ours is against much better opposition. I would need to see how we go against a couple of top 6 team to make up my mind on how good we are.

I agree x. Only played bottom half teams allbeit demolishing them. Our best 11 is very good but smalling young blind fellaini darmian rojo have been found iut over last few years against the bettet teams so if we have to rely on them to start 20 plus games a season we will find it tough.
Fellaini looks good against the weaker teams imo he gets exposed when playing against fast technical players but his attitude is terrific. He looks confidant and had the managers faith.
Matic is the fulcrum for how the team plays but him and fellaini in there does slow us down imo.

Jose seems to rate fellaini even if you don't.
No team is perfect and every team will struggle with injuries to there top players not sure why you keep making the same obvious point .
You argued in the summer it was the worse squad in 20 year that's maybe why, but it's looking pretty good at the moment .
By the way smalling and young have both won the epl before.

Young blind rojo darmian.
How many long term injuries would we have to have for them 4 in particular to start 20 plus games?
Rojo won't even be back until next year but if bailly Jones smalling lindelof all get long term injuries there is a chance the Argentine international might play a few this season .
How would city look with 4 cbs out?
Mendy is out for 6 month and they have Delph at lb .

Fellaini will play more than 20 games imo although with Herrera matic pogba and Carrick maybe not .
But the bottom line is every team is better with a fully fit squad and a bit weaker with a number of injuries.

None of them are good enough for a permanent place in a first choice MU side IMO, however they are great back-up players. I mean many teams would love those players as their first team players. Luckily we can afford top wages so we can have decent back-up players. But I cannot complain guys. We are so lucky we didn't sell Fellaini, we are very short on midfielders. Could have done with Perreira staying put too.

Jred i said that jose took over the worst performing squad in 20 years which he did he has briught in 7 and cganged half the starting team so well on our way to success.
