I think Mike Dean has been a bit harsh with some yellows.

Mike Dean is the least of our worries, I said the day he got the job should have never got it, too early and hasn't done enough.
Now the big problem is Woodward,
Giving jobs and contracts out like sweets,

Leahy whilst i agree woodward is a problem.
Our biggest problem is the players.
They are weak technically and physically poorer than all our domestic and forgein opposition.
We have no leader a dressing room that is ill disciplined in so many facets.
Over hyped over paid players who are over rated by only our own supporters.
Southgate saw through jones young and smalling Spain gave up on mata and herrera years ago. Periera and fred not considered for Brazil.
Martial is miles off a French starting place.
Ole had our worst players playing better. But anybody who thought those players could sustain that are bonkers.
We are a cup team have been for last 5 years. Capable of good wins but also capable of runs of losses.
Back to big ron and the doc. Lots of players who flatter to decieve.
Good on a good day but average 6 or 7 weeks out of ten.
Nobody i repeat nobidy could turn this squad into challengers. The talent or depth if talent is not there to sustain a challenge.
Can any poster come here and make a case for this squad to be title challengers?

Fair post Ken, I agree with it.

Exactly Leahy. Except he's giving them out in the wrong order. The players that should be leaving are staying and the players who actually improve our squad are nailed on to leave.

Let's hope this is a wake up call to Ole and he realises that this squad needs major surgery.

We hear about Madrid and Barcelona planning major rebuilding of their squads. We seem to just plod along not knowing what we're having for dinner tomorrow, let alone planning the future of the club.

Oles at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta!

{Ed002's Note - The club failed to support the last manager but has still spent endless sums over the years.}

Shambolic, These are MANCHESTER UNITED's First team players and failed to do basic things right on the football Pitch.
Anyone has any high hopes from Lingard, Fred, Periera, Jones, Smalling and Martial? Can they turn us into title challengers? They may be fine for cup games as subs but not UTD first team players.

and yet most were prasing the team a few weeks ago ole is not the answer and never will be we. we should of wated till the summer like the eds said he was brought in for a easy run and now he is ound out wanting.

Top post Ken.
dazw, we had more than enough chances to win the game.
The goals conceded were silly, sloppy mistakes.
It is not down to Ole, its due to the lack of quality players and injuries.

Everyone knows Young is not a natural RB and is past his best. Yet, still he is our first choice RB. Add to that Smalling, who is another first choice CB. Unless, we don't start recruiting smartly, no manager can turn it around.

Ed002 i agree with you. Millions has been spent. A lot of it badly and then compounded with stupid contracts.
Mr Woodward has not been held accountable for so many bad calls and poor management of the football side of the' business'
Players need to be held accountable. In reality 18 of our squad ciuld go elsewhere and make no significant impact whatsoever.
That is a shocking indictment of a team with one of the highest wage bill in Europe.
Valencia jones smalling bailly matic herrera mata rojo fred periera darmian young . How best to describe these 12 IMO.
All are good solid pros. A couple were top players at their peak but are past their best. A couple were good players at their best and are also well past their best. A few are still good players playing at a club that they are not capable of delivering the expectations of the fans and club. A few were never good enough in the first place. Most of them start regularly because they are the best we have. On their best day and if they all have that day together they can still find ways to beat the best teams but i'm afraid those days don't come often enough. All good players but some not now some just barely and some never good enough. I think that's a fair appraisal of 12 of our squad

Then there is the enigma of martial. A player who splits opinion. I think he has lots of talent. Good finisher in fact a really good finisher but he is lazy off the ball or else doesn't see the runs. For me his career will follow a nani route more than a ronaldo route if the penny doesn't drop quickly.
Sanchez and martial are our highest paid attackers and neither are living up to the task.
Pogba is hugely talented in many ways. But he is not a bryan robson or roy keane who can carry a team he needs a team to carry him to allow him to be indulgent. Get the right players around him and he can be a worldie. but don't ask him to carry a team. He can't do that.
Rashford lindelof shaw ddg are our most consistent players with jessie lukaku and mctom close in behind.
Back to the top millions hundreds of millions spent but still no squad close to challenging.

Thank you Ed02

It seems posters can't countenance the idea that it was not all Mourinho’s fault, so they ignore your point. I don’t. They also think Ole is the answer, a manager who is less likely to be able to stand up to the decision makers on the player purchases, he doesn’t have the gravitas or experience. We face another mess and will be very lucky if the Ole experiment/ appointment works, yet all the decision makers will do is say, but it’s what the fans wanted, demanded. This one didn’t, this one wanted a considered approach but again we seem to have dived in. Perhaps someone can tell me what the pattern Moyes, LvG, Jose and now Ole shows? To me they look eclectic in terms of a path to success, where does the blame lay for that?

Red Man, The fans have already started turning against the main culprit Woodward (remember the banner flied out during the beginning of the season) .

As a consequence, I'm guessing now that Woodward will be under pressure to deliver. He cannot afford to get another selection wrong.
We are also seeing more rumors about the DoF search. So as an optimistic fan, I feel that some positive changes are under way.
Furthermore, I expect quality signings to come in this summer.

A DOF will be less effective if reporting to Woodward rather than directly to the board.
