One thing went unnoticed in the Spurs game. When James was stamped on McTominay was first on the scene and straight in there. Given he is still a relative new boy it was great to see him steam in. He has a lot of steps to take to fully develop as a player but assuming he does, I believe there is a future captain in there.

It didn't go unnoticed, I loved what I see of him we need some of that fire and aggression also Pereira was straight in there too. Great to see.

Mctominay also battled with sissoko a few times and came out on top.

Perreira also body checked Skriniar after he'd muscled Chong. Nice seeing a bit of a spark in our players.

AJH I think McTom has high aspirations.
He is working hard, learning quickly and developing his game on the job which is great to see.

Seeing more of that and more consistent performances and some spark from the lads will be great to see.

AJH, I notice McT get stuck in a few times last season. He’s a big lad and clearly likes to back up his team mates.

He has done so on several occasions, he isn't afraid to get stuck in. I remember him reacting similarly in the PSG game.

McTomminay and Andreas looked like true Untied players full rubbish housery and passion.

McTomminay though. Needs some respect to Jose for seeing the potential. I love the guy, looking back at his performance against Barcelona when he dominated and how grew as player towards the end of the season and now again on tour he seems to have taken another step.

Really impressive pro and like that he has that quality like Milner, Carrick, Barry etc - calm, hard working, athletic and can see that type of longevity for him too.
