This is the last time I genuinely enjoyed watching boxing. Sugar Ray, Thomas 'Hitman' Hearns, and my personal favourite, Marvellous Marvin Hagler. What an era, with some epic fights.

{Ed001's Note - you didn't enjoy the Benn/Watson/Eubank/Collins fights? Benn had some humdingers.}

Benn v McClellan - amazing fight just a shame what happened but I suppose that’s the risk in the fight game.

Benn v McClellan what a fight, such a shame after though.

Yeah Ed001, I'll give you those, but they didn't get my juices going like the era I mentioned. Should have phrased it 'really enjoyed' as opposed to just 'enjoyed'. ?.

For me, the three fights between Barrera and Erik Morales are up there with anything you'll see.

Haven't enjoyed boxing since Henry Cooper and Mohammed Ali.

It lost me as a sport, with the proliferation of different belts and titles.

There are lots of things wrong boxing and its organisation. However it can still give you great moments that most other sports can't get close too.

Betebiev V Yarde this was a great fight as a recent example.

Who was your favourite of those 4 nou?

Me it was Hagler, what a brute.

Well I remember Ali v Cooper and the Ali v Frazier fights and also the great rumble in the jungle in 74. However, as above Benn v McLellan was most spectacular I remember, sad outcome mind you. Hearns Hagler were also outstanding and a mention for when Tyson arrived on the scene.

Yep, Hagler for me, Angel. I know he was cast as the baddie, especially against SRL, but that just made me like him even more! Like you say, a brute. Like a smaller Mike Tyson. He'd scare the bejesus out of you, before a punch was swung! The fight against Hearns was just pure, controlled savagery. Brilliant to watch, and probably one of my favourites.

I would pick Hearns, a beautiful fighter at his best, but one who for some reason when hurt especially would allow himself to be dragged into slugfests when he would have been better off using his reach and out boxing his opponents.

You pick your poison with The Four Kings, valid arguments for them all.

too many belts and incredibly corrupt with personalities. The whole sport revolves around avoiding making top fights with the exception of one every few years and each to his own.

Spence vs Crawford been talked about for 3 years and still nothing.
