If you could have one player as a christmas present who would it be and why mine would be Clyne because he is one of the best young english right backs and Rafaels rashness and overall injury record are bad

{Ed004's Note - Godin/Hummels/Laporte any of them. I can't think of any rb that is 'world class'. Coleman seems injury prone and defensively poor though excellent going forward. Clyne seems a good player but a bit overrated. Isn't great defensively. Cuadrado seems a possible transfer but he is a right winger primarily so would take time to adapt. Alves is over rated. Haven't seen enough of the young right back at Milan to judge him.}

Despite our defensive problems it has to be Ronaldo back for me, he's the best player in the world.

Pig a, because he's not far off being the best in the world for his position! Him Herrera and di Maria in a midfield three would be immense!

I would go for bale! He's already been ahead of where Ronaldo was at his age, can change a game in a couple of seconds,pace to burn, can pick a good pass, as a previous left back he picks up good defensive positions and knows where the net is! I can't realistically see him in Jan,maybe the summer If the rumours are true. I'm more hopeful about hummels though,it's a position we need a leader in and in my personal opinion is a player we must go all out to try and sign.Dortmund are in a bad position at this present time and are never going to get close to cl football next year whereas we most probably will so that is on our side. Plus who wouldn't want to walk on to the old Trafford pitch wearing our might red shirt week in week out. Please Santa give us hummels :). Merry Christmas lads have a good one.

Matic. The guy is just a monster and we've been crying out for a player with his presence and he's infinitely better on the ball than big wig

Merry Christmas to everyone who visits, posts and edits this site. It has filled many a boring afternoon this year.

Beast, jred and red_sky, we have argued many times but deep down we all want one thing and the one thing we have in common, success for the team we love. I hope all you'd Christmases are fantastic.

A special mention must go to chris the redman and his family who have had a tough year and will be enjoying their first christmas with their newest little red. The outpour on this site earlier this year was amazing to see and I'm sure every body on here wishes you the best Christmas ever.

I am not going to even try and name everybody because it will offend but AJH, nomidfield, Sydney, deeps, Shahram, Stevie and Jake have a great one and I'll see everyone on the otherside ready to beat the magpies.

Spare a thought for me, at 32 years old this is my first year away from the UK for Christmas. I'm sinking a weisse beer keg and thinking of friends and family in the UK!

I haven't been posting as much as I'd like to, but that's probably a good thing as I do wind some people up with my viewpoint! Merry Xmas to all the Editors too, you lads do a smashing job and keep us all informed.

Merry Chrostmas to everyone, I wold try and list you all individually but I did that last year and forgot a few which was a tad embarrassing.

None the less, I'd like to see Beast back sooner rather than later, it would also be good to see Jono and Pea come back. Welcome to all the new 1st time posters, don't fret if someone gets all hissy because they disagree with you, it can get like that.

Finally, Facebook keeps telling me everyone had a great year but I know a few on here didn't. I hope 2015 is kinder and brings you all health and happiness.

Happy Christmas boys, it's been a strange year, three managers in a few months who would have thought it! But we have come through the storm (almost) its great to escape reality and come onto the site there's has been great debates on here and an unbelievable effort from the ed's again this year, so thanks lads, have a great Christmas and hopefully three points against Newcastle Friday.
