Hi all rarely post but really enjoyed watching the team this year so far. I know its only 3 games but all of a sudden there is purpose to our play! Still think were missing a few pieces yet to make this good team a great one! Firstly 2 full backs that can put in a good cross I love Valencia as a player but we all know how many times he hits the first player with his crosses. I was really excited by Shaw when we signed him but injuries and a widely reported attitude problem seems to be killing his united career!
Lastly that player with the x factor who can turn a game on its head. Really feel Sanchez could be that for us if we're 1. Interested and 2. Can beat city to his signature. Just feel some one in his mould would be the difference in the league and europe this season! Hope every enjoys the season to come i'm quietly confident well come out of it with a trophy or 2!

You should pay more often Dan. I think The vast majority agree with you on here on those 3 positions.
For me if those positions were sorted with rose sanchez/ bale and fabhino we would have as good a starting 11 as most teams in europe.
Sadly it won't happen i personally don't see mata as a weakness usually double figures for goals but bale or sanchez is 25 goals and that's the difference.
Valencia plays very well but has a poor final ball more often than not and lukaku thrives off good delivery from wide but he is not what i would regard as a weak link defensively the issue is the back up to him is weak imo.
Left full back blind should be back up imo and a proper overlapping full back would increase the output of our leftside and help lukaku no end.
So still work to do for jose but he knows what he can and can't do and won't panic buy.

Cheers Ken i do plan to be more involed with the discussions this year like i say i'm really happy in the direction the team is going in. But i think you hit the nail on the head with the difference between Mata who i'm not knocking as he is one of favourite players, is attitude and general character are suoerb but having that other player in the team who can notch 20+ goals is were i feel we may fall short this year.

Was watching England U21's tonight and took 2 things from it.
1. When lingard cam on in 2nd half I was impressed with him again uses the ball well and looking to get forward.
2. I hope Moyes is keeping an eye on the progress of Ross Barkley. Really filled out now and looks like he has a great future ahead of him!
1.) Barkley looks like an immense talent.
2.) I thought the same about Barkley. I just mentioned it further down the page. His progress seemed to stall for a bit at Everton but his spells out on loan seem to have done him the world of good and I would definitely be happy for Moyes to make a move for him judging from today's performance.
I thought Sterling and Redmond outshone Lingard today but to be fair they had most of the game to impress compared to Lingard's cameo appearance at the end.
On another note, Michael Owen seems like a top bloke but his commentating on BT sport was painful to listen to! Haha He is no Gary Neville in that department, that's for sure!
3.) I think the criminal thing from last night was it showed that the English youth isn't as bad as made out, but mroe importantly it is very sad that not many of these players went to the U21 world cup, clubs or national structure but we saw a fair few players who would have benefited far more from playing there than a holiday and friendly against Scotland! As for Barkley he is the only Everton player I would take, think he could become great. however he is still a fair way away from being a top midfielder as error prone and tries to much in dangerous areas, has a lot to learn and a year or two away I think from being a top player, hopefully Martinez improves parts of his game and with that in mind as we have the likes of Perriera only a couple of eyars away possibly too Barkley isn't the answer for me not this summer at least.
