Hi guys, have been reading all the posts and I think a few of you have been very unfair towards Fellaini, yes I admit he has started slowly at United but he did come with no preseason and got injured and played through injury when required, in my own opinion he has'ent done as badly as others make out and gives orthers the licence to get forward, and by not surpporting him and calling him WIG give me the impression that some on here are not true United supporters . I for one have seen the bad times at United far worse then they are today, I think Moyes was given an impossible job and Fergie knew it and passed on the batton, leaving behind him an injury ravished aging squad behind him for Moyse to rebuild. 1.) Depends what you think is a " true supporter" . Everyone is entitled to their opinion on a player who cost 27 mil and had been playing in the prem for the past couple of years. Mata has not had much of problem and he has only been here a month. So who do you consider true supporters? People who were also there when things were bad - when we got relegated- and have spent thousands going home and away and Europe over the years or people who never go and watch it on tv then go on forums telling people how it is. In my book if your a united then your a united fan if you go or not and entitled to an opinion but if your going to talking about who you think are true supporters because they a different opinion to you then I will split hairs too.

Good post and I agree. Give the bloke a chance

3.) Pancho, Filliani did'ent set the transfer fee and Woodward/Moyes tried getting him on the cheap and it back fired. What does it matter if you go to home and away games or just watch on TV that dos'ent make you any more of a true supporter. True supporters backs there team in good times and bad that's what's wrong with some on here they no nothing but good .

4.) Pancho, much as I think Mata will prove to be a great signing, if we're being honest, he's hardly set the world alight just yet. And he was injury free.

Some people have just taken the view of him, that he's not a ' United player', and it won't matter what the fella does.

5.) Both Fellaini and Mata will offer us a great deal in the future. My concerns with Fellaini was I thought we needed a busier midfielder, but if Fellaini is going to replace Carrick and someone like Gundogan is going to replace Cleverley, then it will work pretty well. Mata will be better when we have better players behind him in defence and midfield. The same applies to Adnan, Rooney & Van Persie. We must build from the back.

6.) As I said if you read it - all united fans are ok in my book - but if you start saying people are not true supportes because they have a different opinion than you then that is wrong. I could turn round and say I was there when we got relegated and ever since. Spent loads following them and local as well . So I could argue as some do that I am more of a true supporter but I am not . I am not saying I am any better "true supporter " than anyone but you are . If people don't think he is any good that's their opinion. He had one ok game. He cost a lot of money and was an established prem player so should not be taking this length of time to settle in injuries or not. He may turn out to be great he may not. People attack wellbeck and cleverly who have not done any worse and came through the youth team and cost jack. Is that right? This is a banter page it's about opinions . It's united banter page so if we can't have a go here to get rid of frustration where can we? If I was talking to a scouser or a city fan I would be defending him but I thought I wasn't!

7.) Pancho, I don't agree with some of the abuse against Cleverley or Wellbeck either.

My own opinion, is that if they wear a Utd shirt, then I'll support them. If they're out of form, which happens to everyone at some point, they'll get dropped. They don't need the fans calling them all the names under the sun too. A bit of humourous or tongue-in-cheek mickey-taking is fine - they're big boys getting well paid. But some of the abuse is over the top.

The only time I think it's ok to have a serious go at one of our own players, is if it's blatantly obvious that the guy is not making the effort. That's inexcusable. I can always forgive poor form or silly mistakes, as long as I know the player is trying his best for the team. But I wouldn't stand for one of them insulting me as a fan, by just going through the motions.

8.) Stevie's
That's fair enough I don't agree with getting at players or booing them at fed etc. But if I don't rate someone or don't think they are good enough . Or if any other united fan feels that about a player . I think it's ok to speak amongst your mates about it or on a forum like this . If people don't agree - so what - that's opinion amongst reds! It doesn't mean your not a " true supporter " as it was put because you don't rate someone. As I said I could start throwing that about for other reasons as stated but I don't because a united fan is a united to me even if they don't go. People need to careful who they accuse of not being true fans because they don't agree with them. The banter is about debate if we all agreed it would be boring

9.) I'm in agreement with you pancho. We're all united fans and we ALL have our own opinions. So just because we are critical it doesn't mean we're bad supporters!
Roy Keane used to be critical so was Schmeichel, didn't harm the teams they played in.
Thank god we're not all of the same opinion, otherwise life will be boring.
