been speaking to a few mates and they have heard david moyes will be going in for fernando gago. how true I don't know? but I do think utd are in need of that kind of player!
1.) Strootman is better. Di Maria, Lewandowski, Strootman, Alcantara/Fabregas, Baines and Zaha. Zouma if Vidic leaves (sneaky feeling). Scholes, Nani, Rooney, Anderson and Evra to go. Much stronger squad and it's not beyond the realms of possibility. Happy camper if this happens.
2.) No David Moyes is going in for Cesc Fabregas
3.) A second rate midfielder is of no use to us.

can anyone tell me if we have got any 100% for sure transfers lined up? i'm hearing all these rumours but there must be atleast 1 or 2 that are done deals? who are we definitely in for? not rumoured to be in for?
1.) We have signed Varela. 100% done.
We will have Zaha joining. 100% done.
We are very close to signing Garay. 95% done. Agent fees being the hold up.
We have inquired about Di Maria. We also still hold an interest in Gaitan.
We have a strong interest in both Thiago & Strootman. The latter is more likely.
We have a strong interest in Lewandowski, but he would prefer BM move.
There will be others we have an interest in and there will probably be other surprises, but we have interest in the above.

2.) I would say Lewandowski is now slightly over 50% to sign for us now given recent developments.
As you say we have Varela and Zaha.
Di Maria I see going to PSG, Gaitan has had this inevitability of joining for a few years now and I expect it will happen.
Thiago is 80% and I would say Strootman is nearer 90%.
Garay will almost definitely be done.
Ronaldo is a 50/50 and Bale is 0% in my opinion.
3.) Syd,
Do you believe we will sign thiago and strootman or just one or the other? I'm of the belief we need both players for our MF or 2 similar players if not the above mentioned 2!

I can't believe your actually guessing percentages on who we will sign this summer.
Nobody knows anything and until the player is stood on the pitch at OT holding up the United shirt I won't believe anything.
5.) Well Zaha (last year) and Varela are 100% lined up obviously can only be 100% if a deal is done and these are the ONLY deals we DEFINATELY know of. Any other deals at the moment are merely speculation. Sydney all the other things you state here are rehashing answers from Eds given to you and no offence to the Eds but there is no way we can actually say these are factual, only the Eds know if this is the case. Comments I have read from our players, they seem to have no idea on transfer targets and deals either until they happen so personally though its great to read rumours and have opinions I won't believe anything as gospel until I see a quoted statement from the buying or selling club regarding a potential or completed transfer and this is what I would recommend for you to do also Justin.

8.) Sydney, your first comment I am well aware of as I stated that myself. If you read my post properly you wouldn't have even made the second one. But just to clarify for you I said that it would be naive to take any comments as fact, as your OP summing up seems to, of any comment and/or rumour regarding a transfer until you are reading a quoted statement from either the buying or selling club or to add to that the actual player themselves. THat is regardless of whether it is an Ed on this site. and no I am not saying they don't know what they are talking about whatsoever, simply using common sense and a smattering of intelligence to not 100% trust as FACT comments and opinions made from a 3rd party, they may all turn out to be true they may not, but until these statements come from official sources not an unknown grapevine the likes of you and me simply don't know, let's wait and see as i'm not sure if I doubt or just plain hope nearly all these facts you have plageurised originally as a fountain of knowledge happen and then your subsequent excuses of why the transfers didn't happen and that you merely stated there was interest and probably blame Garays agent, incidentally the same thing you have done for the last two summers after making such bold transfer predictions virtually stated as facts which barely any of which have happened #endoftransferwindow=sydneygrounhogday

9.) Stuey, clearly you never read my OP as the only two players that I said will be arriving 100% is Zaha & Varela. The rest I clearly stated were not 'fact' hence there being no 100% next to their name.

rumour is strootman and fellaini to utd as moyes will be playing a 4-2-3-1 formation and strootman and fellaini will be the 2 mid players! also eds I've also heard we could be signing a player called bruma? never heard of him could you shed some light please :)

Hmmm, I would expect to see Carrick as first choice next season still with maybe someone else being bought next year to replace him. Maybe Wanyama.
Bruma is a very talented winger playing at Sporting Lisbon, deja vu anyone?
He is a top prospect but I would worry about the nunber of young talents we are being linked with, Shaw, Varela, Bruma ect.
Now signing youngster is a key part of our identity but we need to tempur that with signing players who are ready to be a part of the first team right away. If we only sign players who are 5/6/7 years away from being at there peak we'll end up like Arsenal, forever having a team waiting to peak and reach their potential but losing the best players before they do so.
Bruma is a great young player but so are Powell Zaha and Januzaj. So with three young players who play in a similar role who are all very talented and are trying to break into the team already it begs the question of why do we need another? Surely those funds would be better used bringing in players who are needed for the here and now, or maybe future talents in other areas which are more needed.

Why would we want a someone who we are going to turn into a world class player then in a couple of years time going to kick up a fuss to go back to barcelona? just not worth the trouble! we want players who are in it for the long term and who want to be at united!
