after watching the display of yaya toure last night and through out the season. pace, power, and technique he has is pheonomenahl, reminds me of fellaini

1.) Good one richie!

As I have said on this site several times before Utd have never found a suitable replacement for Keane.

A bit of an obvious statemet but the reality is that we have continually lost the battle in midfield against the big teams.

Utd have just backed off and defended the 18 yard line which against quality opposition is very dangerous. not had a CM player who can press the ball and win it higher up the pitch.

Hopefully this will be resolvedwith the new manager coming in and a few new signings.

Roll on the 1st June!

2.) Hoggy

I totally agree, Utd have not had the same aggression and solid midfield since the days of Keane, what ever your opinion about him it has to be stated how important he was to Utd since he was bought from NF. Certainly the most consistent player, of course he did rant a little about some players and staff not giving 100% to the club but he was CORRECT and he was a person who stood up to the plate. He never gave less than 100% and that I can guarantee.

I personally think that it is a player similar to Keane that Utd need to build their next team around not players like Rooney or RvP who throw their toys out of the pram when things don't go their own way. Guy's good strikers are readily available (with money) but Keane type players are not - which from my mind is why Utd have been under par for the last few years.

We all talk about Ronaldo, Scholes, class of 92. Guys we've also lost Cantona, Ince, Bruce, Pallister etc etc. but each time the team bounced back almost immediately. WHY? because we had Keane. since Keane left have we honestly gotten our best back again. I think not.

Simple fact of the matter is that Keane was the cornerstone of Utd for so long. people from around the world did not want to admit how important he was to utd never mind football. (anyone remember the Juve game, who else would have sacrificed themselves like that. none of the 92 guys and def not RvP or Rooney). We need a new Keane ASAP.END OF

3.) Keane would run through a midfield throw around a few tackles make his presence know and if you ran into him you would be the one on the ground

4.) Cheers hoggy, to be honest when fellani signed for you for a massive 28 mil that was the start of the moyes downfall.he was basically a centre forward for us just in the way tim cahill ended up a centre forward .fellani is very limited and and I think he will be sold on.we have seen a massive difference with james mccarthy someone who can get around the pitch not a goal scorer but has everything else.but back to utd it will not belong before your back to where you belong.

If you think felani is a good signing think again he is miles to slow for the way you play. dithering davy. strikes again.he, s no were near good enough to manage your great club.

If madrid are involved its a waste of timing bidding as they are the biggest club in the world along with barca.

Felaini has no pace what so ever. he will find it very hard. and I think you might see him move on next year.big strong can head a ball but that's where it ends.

Bit strong going on about everton .i posted a few things which are now coming to your attention about moyes.you all said it was sour grapes.moyes loves his senior pros.he would rather draw a game than try to win it.he is so negative it is untrue.and also fellaini played upfront for everton and played very few games as a true c.m. chelsea. liverpool. man city.no wins.his record is there for you to view.its horrendas against big teams .he will never get another job like he has now. but he has the gift of the gab.so looks like your stuck with him.AND THIS IS NOT SOUR GRAPES.

Everton fan. after watching felli for years week in week out. he will give you strenth in midfield. but only strenth purly because of his size.he is very slow .he ponders up the field .man utd play football on the floor.and break quickly I fear for you this season .i thought you as a club would have gone for a player like coutino at lpool oscar at chelsea total footballers. moyes will play more longball game plus you have a badly ageing squad .and the yonger players are not good enough. just my opionion.
