Alright everyone, been a long time reader of the site but decided to bite the bullet and set up a profile! Wanted to say that so far so good with the new signings (although hope we secure a CB), and also I'm glad ADM saga is over and he is off the books. Let's face it, he never wanted to be here and certainly didn't deserve the privelage of wearing our famous no. 7 shirt. I hope the Pedro signing is concluded which is looking likely as pace down the right is needed. This isn't a pop a Mata, he isn't a winger and needs to be played centrally where he is class. Also, just a quick mention to a former no. 7 David Beckham, who put a picture of himself on social media in our new kit. This was picked up by the club and put on the official website. Absolute class by Becks! Showing his love and support for the club still, in contrast to Di Maria scampering off like a coward to France. We need players who WANT to be at the club, not just for a pay day. Keep the Red Flag flying high!

Welcome! Good post and I think most would agree with you on Mata. It's clear that most of our best attacking play comes down whichever side Young is playing on. Mata is a top player but have you ever seen him beat a full back? My hope is that if he continues playing there he will start to link well with Darmian and we will see a lot of the overlap down that side with Mata (who is superb at putting the ball through at the correct pace) playing it on for him.

On Saturday every time we looke threatening which wasn't much was when mata picked up the ball and drifted infield he should be playing #10

Completely agree, good post! They both buy into the tradition and ways of the club like they're local lads. They are both a credit to themselves and the club. Wish all the players showed as much passion and commitment to the cause. Get them tied down to new deals, United needs players like these lads.
