Hi fellow united fans,
Not really a regular poster but read and enjoy the site every day. I wanted to get involved in discussions earlier, but a lot of negativity and drama queens on the site.
So from a positive point of view, I think we have plenty to look forward to this season.
1. Finally a solid back four, Wan Bissaka is absolute class and it’s relieving to know that not only do we have an attacking outlet from the right side now, but also someone who can defend. Maguire I think will prove to be a solid signing. The best we could have got available, will prove to be a leader. A lot of people will say Milenkovic, Dias etc. I have never seen them play so can’t judge, but the amount of so called CB’s that come to the premier league with high potential and then flop is astonishing. Mangala, mustafi, D Sanchez to name a few. Maguire is prem proven.
2. Mctominay- we have been crying out for a energetic passionate CDM and now we have one right in front of us, can’t wait to see how he develops this season, has to get in over Matic this season.
3. Exciting Youth talent - Gomes, Greenwood, James, Chong, all have the potential to have a break out season. Players that actually want to play for the badge and give everything they have every game. Greenwood and Gomes especially are going to be special.
4. High tempo pressing- the amount of games over the last 3 years where we get out run all over the pitch. Pressed high to the point where we can’t even pass the ball from the back, letting teams cut right through us with no effort. Now the energy has gone to the next level, even martial looks hungry.
5. The pressure is off us for once - Us fans put a lot of pressure on our club understandably because we want the best for our team. But, not all the attention is around us heading into the season. I think more questions are being asked of how arsenal are going to defend? How will lampard fair at Chelsea? Can Liverpool hit the heights again? Poch frustrated at Tottenham? So nice to not be the only team dragged into the doom and gloom by the press.
I think we will get top four this year!
Roll on Friday for the start of it all, and Sunday for us to do the business!
{Ed047's Note - to be honest TKD I think you may be kidding yourself a little if you don’t think you’ll be under pressure, it will be huge mate.

I think it’s more good than anything ED 😂 I think I need to take my rose tinted glasses off with that last point and realise there will be pressure. I think a lot of questions to be asked about all of arsenal, Chelsea and unite. Especially with Leicester and wolves getting better. But still going to remain positive!
{Ed047's Note - nothing wrong with being positive TKD and yep both Arsenal and Chelsea will be under pressure for sure it’s just the size of your club that’s makes it bigger as you really need to get back up with City and Liverpool.
I think OGS is a gamble too mate but not long now till we all get some answers and get to watch some footie again.
