Rumours today that we've offered a loan deal to Vincent aboubakar. Now ronaldos at al Nassr he's probably out of favour so he probably is looking a move. Not sure if it's true but with our track record of signing old strikers then it might well be. What's everyone's thoughts on this?

Honestly, pre ETH I’d be thinking this was almost a dead cert. But now I genuinely have confidence these are the sort of deals we won’t be making anymore. Please don’t prove me wrong Erik you beautiful bald ba*#$€d ?.

Would rather see us move for Thurman, Dembele, or Depay; all of whom are out of contract in the summer and could be picked up for €10m or less. Heck, even if we just pay that amount as a loan fee and allow them to go free in six months time, it will have been worth every penny if signing them helps to secure top four. Even if it doesn’t, it’s not like we’re breaking the bank. We’ve probably saved far more than that on Ronaldo’s wages anyway.

I really hope not would be a big regression in our transfer strategy. Marcus thuram to me seems the beat option seemly going for a resonable fee.

Don’t know much about Aboubakar but hope it doesn’t happen. Every other EtH signing has worked out, but this would feel like the first one where ge’s had to resort to someone. Who knows, maybe his profile is enough as a stog-gap. A tall, powerful central attrack.
