Time to look at some points in regards to certain things in regards to this Liverpool fixture. Firstly we have played Liverpool 4 times this season, and the record shows 2 wins, 1 draw and a loss, so we retain bragging rights. Secondly we will mostly agree that we were not that bothered about the Europa League, the losers from the Champions league should not get entry. Thirdly, it was the better management skills of Kloop that won this two legged tie and lastly is there anyone apart from LVG that would start Fellaini instead of Schneirdelen?

I can't accept that idea, that we are out of Europa, and then go say it didn't matter to us. You step on the field, you play to win.

Will you feel the same way if they go on to win the competition?

Bragging rights go to the team that won last.

Thought over the two legs some of your fans were a disgrace with the chants an songs they sang. I always thought mufc had bit of class about them how wrong I was.
Blue moon all day long for me on sunday.

First time Liverpool and Manchester meet in Europe, we dump you out and you maintain bragging rights?

What bragging rights do we have exactly? We will most likely finish below them in the league and they dumped us out of europe.

Wow first time we've seen pool fans on here for months. You'd be here anyway wouldn't you if the result was different. Hopefully you'll get to the final and lose just so you have to get a few extra games in.

Supa,

They won't get anywhere near the final so don't need to worry about that.

Itsonlybanter,

I was there last night and the chants were both ways and by the minority, all clubs have morons, I would suggest none of them are on here, so don't come on telling us we have no class, I wasn't singing any Hillsborough songs just like you weren't singing any Munich ones.

{Ed001's Note - you showed a complete lack of class with the bit I had to edit out, don't go there, it is the same damn thing.}

I agree Ed001 it was completely disgusting last night and I am embarrassed by our own fans.

Ed,

Just annoys me we all get put in the same boat, I apologise if that was offensive, it was a small minority of morons last night and it doesn't even need to be mentioned. Every away game I have been to I have seen fans doing the aeroplane in front of us but it doesn't get brought up in the press or or forums, these people don't deserve the time of day.

{Ed001's Note - I agree with you, but it was not a small minority, or even a minority at Anfield. It was the entire United away end singing vile chants. UEFA's inaction led to worse chanting and crowd trouble last night.}

Ed liverpool have also been charged following last night's game including a charge of illicit chanting. But 2 wrongs don't make a right including the refurbishment the liverpool fans kindly did at the end.

{Ed001's Note - that was my point.}

Oh right sorry ed. It's a shame some take it further beyond what's acceptable for historic rivalry. Even hatred doesn't require reactions and actions such as what went on. In all my time I've been to games I've never felt the need to sing particular things and I've hardly heard it myself. The only time I've heard things which has been mainly in pubs has been from your typical coked up/ drunk/ stone island wearing, uneducated knuckle dragger. Even about 20 years ago when I'd have the clobber myself it was still not necessary and it was the very few.

{Ed001's Note - nowadays it is being swept under the carpet and kept away from the grounds, but there is a definite increase in these kind of incidents recently. It is creeping back into football and the FA and UEFA etc are not doing anything about it. I suppose UEFA see it as an excuse to reduce the English influence over the game even further.}

Hope you guys tune in to our Quarter Final legs with Dortmund. and hear " You'll Never Walk Alone" being belted out by both sets of fans.
It'll be a quality atmosphere at both grounds . the way Football supporters should be.

Should have been punished after the first leg, and forced to play the second leg sans crowd. But UEFA are afraid of hurting big clubs' finances, so they do nothing. I honestly couldn't care less if the other boys sign nasty songs about us, the whole world could hear that the majority of our fans were signing those songs during the first leg and both UEFA and the club itself should have taken action.

They didn't and things continued during the second leg, culminating in the nonsense at the end. Absolutely shameful that most of the United fans I know still try to defend it on the grounds that other fans do it about Munich. Pathetic.

{Ed007's Note - We call that 'whataboutery' in Scotland, Danny. If Rangers fans get into trouble their usual reply is 'What about Celtic fans doing....' and vice versa, if Celtic get into trouble a lot of our fans do the same.}
