Chelsea already recouping some of the lukaku fee by selling Abraham to Roma. Smart and efficient move. meanwhile we continue to overprice our average squad players thus preventing them moving and us getting in some money. Frustrating again as clearly we can't sign a midfielder until we lighten our bloated squad yet we don't want to let any of them go. Surely any fees we would get for pereira, dalot even lingard would go along way to strenthening us with the quality we need.

I think have a pvt ownership who values the cash/ value at hand vs. a listed company trying to show maximum asset value to drive share price - which drives notional value when trying to sell may have something to do with it.

It seems a bit much for him. I could have seen him at a Villa / West Ham type but imagine his wages are an issue. They should bite Roma's hand off.
