Hello,

I think the available managers are not a big upgrade for MU right now. Every good manager is already under contract.

I have seen that Antero Henrique is available for Director of Football. Could be an interesting move for us. Hope Glazers will consider this scenario in their meeting.

Having just hired Murtagh and Fletcher for DoF and TD roles I don't see them changing them anytime soon. For me they missed the boat and should have got VDS and Overmars back when they decided that the solution to fixing the rot was to look in house.

The reality is that even with the dividends the owners receive, and the huge repayments in the debt, and the seeming total focus on increasing revenue via sponsorship the fact remains that the club have made available an average of 140m every summer for transfers since Sir Alex retired.

Over a billion spent we should have one of if not the best squad in the league.

The reality is that it has been poorly spent by people who don't know what they are doing and are just playing fantasy football with our club.

Under LvG and Jose the club spent nearly 700m, yet will any of those players be key first 11 players under the next manager?

700m for at best we a few squad players.

We needed the expertise of footballing professionals and what we have is investment bankers, accountants and ex players with no experience beyond kicking a ball.

At Ajax they hire ex-players, yet they often go to University and study for degrees before taking a role, they work alongside more experienced people to gain the knowledge before they are handed the keys to the kingdom.

Edwin van Der Sar took a master's degree in sports and brand management as well as his coaching badges. Giving him a understanding of a player, a coach and business BEFORE he was given a job as Marketing director, he then did well at that job before moving up to CEO.

What has Fletcher done?

George

You don’t think Conte would be a big upgrade on Ole? Seriously
Steve Bruce would be an upgrade.

Murtough's job is to impart a philosophy on the club, but how much impact does his role have though.

Red Man

As a manager Conte is a lot better than Ole ofc. But our squad and philosophy as a team in not in line with Conte's tactics. We don't have the time to rebuild the squad for him, so I prefer a manager who likes attacking football and knows how to implement it on the pitch.
