A good interview and read with Ole floating about for those interested. Lift the lid on his time and a few things, was a good read tbf.

I question the timing of the release.
It's been released when ETH is at his lowest point here in his managerial career.

OGS was as much a wrong choice as CR7 was, but I had a certain amount of sympathy for him considering the players he had under him. Even more sympathy for RR who tried to implement a system and style of play, but those same players either refused or were incapable of following it. ETH has many of those same players still, and you can see the same issues.

The sympathy I have for OGS is exactly the same as the sympathy I have for Harry Maguire.

Somebody employed by the club to do a job that they are totally under qualified for.

OGS was as much a poor appointment as the majority of signings we’ve made over the past decade. Like some players such as Maguire and Fred, Ole tried, but was nowhere near good enough.

I think the recruitment of ETH was lucky in some ways. We had to get one right eventually out of pure dumb luck. Now we’re seeing a good manager struggle in our crumbling club, which is further highlighting the mess above (and below) him.

Yes, we were lucky to get ETH, whether or not he's going to be able to stop the rot. I have consistently maintained that the club hid behind Ole's little initial run of success to appoint him the manager after they had stated that he was a caretaker for the season only, because, after making enquiries, no one else of any standing wanted the job. At that time Woodward was still in charge, and after the criticisms leveled at the club by both LVG and Mourinho, both well respected in the game, everyone could see clearly that we were no longer anything more than a marketing/ financial device. We are rid of Woodward, thank the Lord, but we still have the Glazers, whose lack of interest, caring or capability in or about the footballing side of things, remains a hindrance to full recovery.

Why though Wazza, based on what? yes just that a Good Manager, not a great manager nothing to back him up to be a great manager, winning Dutch league don’t make you worthy of title Great that’s all he won oh and a cup in U. K…. which really again was a poor performance……. when things turn which they surely will still I don’t see us winning much
Buys have been very poor in game management not great tactics all over the place, basically lucky to have 6 points at moment table does not lie
I appreciate many on here don’t want to see what’s staring them in the face but it’s not great however you want to dress it up! Injuries or not you should still be showing a style or some direction after 15 months we are not and the 6 points we have got we certainly did not blow them lower league teams away by any stretch.
It’s not good at all.

I was at a company 10/ 12 years ago, and a round of promotions came up. I had a colleague who applied who had a long laundry list of things that were wrong with the company, what he'd improve, what should have been done differently he was going to use in his interview. Little did this idiot know was he was actually in charge of 80% of the issues. He could have changed a lot of this and been a shoe in for the promotion, only he went and shined a light on his own poor performance.

Revisionism about Oles time in charge is way too early to take affect. He talks about the players not working hard enough. He held no standards and danced around on a pitch when we went top of the league in January, only to rule us of a title challenge 2 weeks later.

He may not have started the rot but he done absolutely nothing to stop it. He rewarded mediocrity, he signed some poor players on huge contracts and won nothing.

Haaland, Bellingham, Rice and Kane he wanted?

He went behind Raiolas back to try and poach Haaland scuppering any deal. Walked Bellingham around Carrington and that was enough for him to book a trip to Dortmund.

I find the whole thing quite paradoxical. He moans about the club not being run very well but what he fails to see is that a well run club would never have hired him in the first place.

Anyways, 2-0 to United tonight.

Agree with some of that but it was Sir Alex that walked Bellingham around Carrington and ETH signings so far to me look poorer than Ole's, except maybe Casemiro.

Using "lucky to have 6 points" and "table doesn't lie" in the same sentence, hilarious! ?

Perhaps we should have a clear penalty against Spurs? Perhaps we were a bit unlucky against Arsenal? Nah, we are just terrible.
