Rubbish Tel. Look at it again. Suarez didn't even look at Evra leading up to the handshake. Stop defending that awful piece of s**t. He caused it all today and you know it mate.

The handshake - Suarez should have shook hands, however Evra tries to make a point by keeping his hand down until after Suarez has past him.
Ferdinand was never going to shake hands, otherwise his hand would have been out & not one word in the media about Welbeck moving his hand away.
Ferguson should worry about his own two faced club. Suarez a disgrace for not shaking hands? Cantona kung fu kick, Ferdinand drugs ban, Rooney swearing in the camera etc,etc,etc. He is a drunk, senile old hypocrite!
Sky will back him & his odious club to the hilt.

Scousers have actually started claiming that Evra snubbed Suarez. The level of delusion and paranoid victim mentality flowing through the club is unbelievable.

Good win today, now let's put all this nonsense behind us and concentrate on the real issue, keeping city off the top and winning number 20.

A very big result heading into a crucial period of the season. We played well and kept possession for large parts of the game, however I still feel we don't have a player who can give that final ball to the forwards. That's why I feel we need an out and out attacking midfielder like Ozil or Goetze.

One player who didn't get the credit he deserved for his performance today was Rafael. Hopefully, if he can get over his niggling injuries he can become a very good player for us.

Everyone has an opinion on Suarez today. I think when he refused to shake Evra's hand, he inflamed the situation and was the ultimate cause of all that followed. Let's face it, Evra wouldn't have done that celebration at the end if Suarez had simply shaken his hand. The world was watching, and Suarez shamed himself in front of the world, as did Evra at the end. It's a shame that this great fixture was overshadowed by Suarez' selfish attitude and Evra's subsequent reactions. It wasn't about Manchester United vs Liverpool today. It was all about Patrice Evra vs Luis Suarez and that is a real shame. A dark day for football.

Credit to JRG and lfc for being gracious in defeat. Blair, of course, had to be bitter. Anyone seen Tel 1949?

Can Blaire Maine please explain who he supports and more importantly what is the point of him. He is on the Liverpool site slagging off Liverpool and saying how we deserved to win and were the better side then he comes on here slagging off United. It seems that the Editors carte blanche just to go anywhere on the site and insult whoever he likes. Firstly i need to say that was a great result and generally a very good performance from the lads - but i want to raise one little issue i have.

Rio Ferdinand seems to be the weak link in our defence at the moment, he is making errors, gets turned easily and is a pace slow. I'm not saying outright that he should go at the end of the season.

The question to you guys on here is, do you want to see Rio here next season? If not who replaces him?

SAF mostly( now a days) forgets to do substitutions( in time)... like today.. giggs..a 37 years old for full 90 min when he has all 3 subs unused..and proper quality on the banch to defend..

With respect to the unnamed post earlier about Munain and Martinez for £45 million, i think that would be great business for us and would prove to be an excellent summer for us.

But ed, syd, anyone, whats your opinion on the likelihood of this? I think that it would be a difficult, long drawn out transfer as Bilbao are notoriously hard to deal with!

In the run up to the game, the amount of pool fans who where mocking Scholes and Giggs' age and Evans' defending (or lack of it) where endless. Then on match day, the pensioners bossed their world beating soon to be dominant team and Evans' was excellent. Oh the irony.

Suarez' petulance delights me, constantly has a face like a smacked arse. Evra had every right to celebrate at the end, especially after been booed for 90 mins at Council House after standing up to racism. Good performance and the right result.

Also, anyone else think Suarez should get done by the FA again?, put a bit of manners into him. Evra offered to shake his hand and he refused. He was the one who racially abused Evra and so if anyone should have refused to shake hands (which neither of them should) it should have been Evra, but he was a man about it and offered Suarez a handshake.

Impressive performance today and another game where Scholes dictates through out, Pool looked down and out with 20 mins to go and they did not deserve their goal, well done lads, loved Evras celebration at the end. Suarez had the opportunity to be the bigger man, did not think my opinion on him could get any worse...i was wrong.

Anyone else secretly hoping that Mourinho gets the England job.

Great motivator, tactically astute and has the added bonus of being good entertainment value.

Also means he'll be under contract and unavailable when SAF retires. I think Mourinho is quality but he's not right for Utd in my opinion. Anyone have any thoughts on this as well?

Alas, I know Man Utd will win tomorrow. You are due one so I won't be at all surprised. Plus you've got Ferdy, Rooney, Young, maybe Cleverly, & the twins are fit who I remember you lot bleating about at the start of the season. Boy, you have a big squad to chose from, whereas Liverpool's team nearly picks its self. I can't see Kenny benching too many players this time like he did in the FA Cup.
