The press I am sure will sensationalise the 'suarez didnt shake Evras hand' drivel, but one look at the video says it all....Evra deliberately lowered his hand....end of

get off your high horses guys, Evra was again at the centre of everything that was poor today

tel 1949

Rubbish Tel. Look at it again. Suarez didn't even look at Evra leading up to the handshake. Stop defending that awful piece of s**t. He caused it all today and you know it mate.

You lot need to take a look at yourself. You were the better team and won I admit and fair play to you. But all the majority of you want to do is talk about a handshake? Really? Its clear they don't like eachover and neither wanted to shake eachovers hands, so what who gives one.Since all you want to talk about it let's talk. Suarez feels Evra lied about him and if Evra said what he said about Luis sister and family about mine I certainly wouldn't have shook his hand. Also his antics at HT and FT prove what a first class s**t stirring tit he is. Fergie yet again gets involved and talks crap. Obviously drunk. Getting forgetful too. What's worse ending someones career and smirking about it or not shaking hands? Anyway you were the better team and we were unbelievably poor so well done but get your facts right before you start gobbing off.

The handshake - Suarez should have shook hands, however Evra tries to make a point by keeping his hand down until after Suarez has past him.
Ferdinand was never going to shake hands, otherwise his hand would have been out & not one word in the media about Welbeck moving his hand away.
Ferguson should worry about his own two faced club. Suarez a disgrace for not shaking hands? Cantona kung fu kick, Ferdinand drugs ban, Rooney swearing in the camera etc, etc, etc. He is a drunk, senile old hypocrite!
Sky will back him & his odious club to the hilt.

Scousers have actually started claiming that Evra snubbed Suarez. The level of delusion and paranoid victim mentality flowing through the club is unbelievable.

Good win today, now let's put all this nonsense behind us and concentrate on the real issue, keeping city off the top and winning number 20.

A very big result heading into a crucial period of the season. We played well and kept possession for large parts of the game, however I still feel we don't have a player who can give that final ball to the forwards. That's why I feel we need an out and out attacking midfielder like Ozil or Goetze.

One player who didn't get the credit he deserved for his performance today was Rafael. Hopefully, if he can get over his niggling injuries he can become a very good player for us.

Everyone has an opinion on Suarez today. I think when he refused to shake Evra's hand, he inflamed the situation and was the ultimate cause of all that followed. Let's face it, Evra wouldn't have done that celebration at the end if Suarez had simply shaken his hand. The world was watching, and Suarez shamed himself in front of the world, as did Evra at the end. It's a shame that this great fixture was overshadowed by Suarez' selfish attitude and Evra's subsequent reactions. It wasn't about Manchester United vs Liverpool today. It was all about Patrice Evra vs Luis Suarez and that is a real shame. A dark day for football.

Credit to JRG and lfc for being gracious in defeat. Blair, of course, had to be bitter. Anyone seen Tel 1949?

He is on the Liverpool site slagging off Liverpool and saying how we deserved to win and were the better side then he comes on here slagging off United. It seems that the Editors carte blanche just to go anywhere on the site and insult whoever he likes. Firstly i need to say that was a great result and generally a very good performance from the lads - but i want to raise one little issue i have.

Rio Ferdinand seems to be the weak link in our defence at the moment, he is making errors, gets turned easily and is a pace slow. I'm not saying outright that he should go at the end of the season.

The question to you guys on here is, do you want to see Rio here next season? If not who replaces him?

I didn't think Suarez could sink any lower, but his show of "ohh look at me, I'm not shaking Evra's hand, it's all about me" was just another example of his ignorance. His action was right in front of a young mascot, and caused even more tension in the stadium, right before the game. Was this supposed to help his team at Old Trafford, where the atmosphere was already going to be tense? No, it was a display of selfish arrogance, and did liverpool no favours.

LFC's owners should have the guts to get rid of this parasite, along with his weak manager. They would be a far better club without them both (did you see the Dalglish signings today?..No, neither did I...again!) .

Perhaps Suarez will now claim that it is a polite gesture to refuse to shake someones hand in Uruguay! What a joke.

Would Shankly or Paisley allow him to represent their Liverpool FC? These great and honourable men of football would chase him out of Anfield without his feet touching the ground!

luis suarez is a complete moron, either he is very stupid or just ignorant for what he did today I believe he is both, I was at the game and fergie was right it could have started a riot, i personally think it is all down to liverpool and in particular kenny dalglish, this is not 1985.

He has been a disgrace throughout this whole saga, and blindly liverpool fans have just followed his defense of a player, if he just came out and said suarez has admitted he did something wrong he is sorry he would have took a lot of heat from this, he should have asked suarez if he was going to shake evras hand and then if he knew he wasn't, told united so as evra didn't look to shake it.

The biggest flaw in all this is liverpool, suarez and dalglish all think they have done nothing wrong dalglish is to biased to be a manager, not to worry though as this time next year he will have been sacked from liverpool.

With respect to the unnamed post earlier about Munain and Martinez for £45 million, i think that would be great business for us and would prove to be an excellent summer for us.

But ed, syd, anyone, whats your opinion on the likelihood of this? I think that it would be a difficult, long drawn out transfer as Bilbao are notoriously hard to deal with!

Also, anyone else think Suarez should get done by the FA again?, put a bit of manners into him. Evra offered to shake his hand and he refused. He was the one who racially abused Evra and so if anyone should have refused to shake hands (which neither of them should) it should have been Evra, but he was a man about it and offered Suarez a handshake.

Right who would be happy with this as our summer spending:

Gaitan
Martinez
Clyne
E.Torres

For a total of £50m?

I'd be chuffed with this to be honest and I don't this we can expect anything more. Personally would prefer eriksen to gaitan but think the gaitan link has more to it. Interesting post earlier from 'Jred' abput what we need in the squad for next season and the restrictions that we will be forced to comply with.

I fancy Owen, De Laet, Kuszack to definatly not be here. With other possiblie outlays of Berbatov, Ferdinand, Bebe, maybe even Ashley Young.

Young and Ferdinand could well be used on long term taget Bale, but its hard to say. I think if Veseli performs well, then Ferdinand may be surplus to requirements. That way i think we could have a first choice of Smalling partnering Vidic, with Evans, Jones and Veseli being back up. Subotic may come in, but Inigo Martinez is more likely as he is younger and cheaper - and is also another ball playing center back which we like.

If Bale were to come in then at best we will see a young central midfielder come in as Bale would take a large proportion of our budget. I'm going to annoy my unnamed stalker on here and say that we will get Kovacic, we won't miss out on him. Its better business than someone like Gotze in my opinion.

Up top, Owen will definatly go, Berbatov may be offered a new deal - it depends on whether we have the budget left for a new striker. Macheda will have a good chance, Keane will be given more time also. Rooney, Hernandez, Welbeck, Macheda, Berbatov and Owen could make up the strike force (Berbatov probably will leave looking at it).

Alas, I know Man Utd will win tomorrow. You are due one so I won't be at all surprised. Plus you've got Ferdy, Rooney, Young, maybe Cleverly, & the twins are fit who I remember you lot bleating about at the start of the season. Boy, you have a big squad to chose from, whereas Liverpool's team nearly picks its self. I can't see Kenny benching too many players this time like he did in the FA Cup. Ah well if you can't see your team win, you might as well make money out of it. Man Utd to win 3-0! Easy money!
