Now i quiet often read a blog for and old regular from here(although i haven't seen him post for awhile). Now this i thought was a very interesting artical from his site:

cantheyscore.com/2011/10/22/my-favourite-footballer-michael-carrick/

(hope the ed's don't mind me posting the link)

let me know what you think.

Shappy {Ed007's Note - No problem at all. I don't have time to read it right now though. I've spoke to the author a few times on Twitter etc (I'm sure it's him, though not 100%)

Sydney and gan,

Randomly started reading keanes book again today. He mentions the stam sale. He beleived that he was in the comfort zone and that positionaly wasn't up to scratch in the big matches. Apparently stam said he always targeted the epl trophy every year. Keanes reply? The wrong one.

I think Jones has been very solid so far against an awesome spanish team. I've been watching Alba closely and I haven't been too impressed so far, he plays so far forward and I think walcott and johnson have troubled him at times and their hardly world class. I don't think english football would suit him. Also why the hell is bent there? His first touch is shocking and his movement rubbish. Get Welbeck or Sturridge on there.

Welbeck is a better player than Bent can't see why he isn't playing!

Looking forward to the potentially world class ( your words, not mine) Phil Jones playing in midfield. This should be fun.

Seems as if all the recent press speculation regarding Pogba is nonsence as/usual. Fergie says that he still has 18 months of his current deal still to run and the M E N tonight has run a story stating that United are in the process of negotiating a new deal for Pogba. Again it looks like the old chestnut of why let the truth get in the way of a good story.

'rpc'

SAF is never going to admit that he sold a player due to a personal matter is he? That would be him admitting that he has put himself before the club. Do some research on the club you support mate, RFT would be more than happy to fill you in on one or two things I'd imagine.

I bid you good day.

Sydney ;)"""
dear mr rpc
there you have it
the official word that mr sydney can read minds
he officially knows
that deep in sir alex's mind
he wanted to sell stam because he did not like him
and whatever sir alex said
was a lie,
how lucky is ngiak
to know such a mind reader like mr sydney!
and mr rpc
apparently when you do research
it DOES NOT include papers and what the individuals say
it means ASK MR SYDNEY what they THOUGHT

Apparently we was willing to pay £35-£40 million for Sneijder in the summer. I was all for this as I think he's one of the best around, however I think he's blown it now. For me I would go out n pay £40 million for Modric if he was available. I fink him along with silva is the best midfielder in the prem. I kno he had a preference for staying in London but surely man utd can attract him. I reckon he'd b available in the summer cos I think harry redknapp wil b installed as the nxt England manager. I like benzema as well n if he was available I'd try for him. I'd sell rio, evra, anderson, berba, owen, Gibson, macheda n kuzschak (spelling) n then try n bring in Modric, benzema, alba/izaguirre n possibly a player like kagawa who can rotate. Then I'd line up with a 4-3-3 of

De Gea

rafael
jones
vidic
alba/izaguirre/fabio

modric
cleverley
fletcher

Rooney
Benzema
nani/young

we wud then have a strong starting line up wiv the likes of pogba, Morrison, tunnicliffe, carrick, kagawa, chicharito, wellbeck and the rest to come in if needed.

Wots anyones thoughts?

A thought for the weekend ............. those of us that can remember Sir Matt retiring will remember how it signalled the end of a golden period. Sadly we had a number of managers, including Sir Matt returning, all in a relatively short time. Our top players all retired / left at a similar time and we were left trying to sign replacements who just weren't good enough to sustain our success and it all culminated in relegation. The Doc rejuvanated the club and if only he could have kept it in his pants who knows what he would have achieved, I'm sure a league title would have followed the Cup success in 1977.
Move the clock on 40 years and we are faced with Fergie leaving in the next few years, he can't go on forever, how I wish he could. That will be a defining moment for us as only Fergie could have achieved the success in the last 5 years with the players we currenlty have. Most managers would not have even made the top four with them.
Rather than worrying about who we need to sign in January and we do need to sign some, my real concern is what happens when Fergie retires. Those of us that shed the tears in the 70s will see certain parallels between the two eras and whereas relegation isn't a concern, following the route to mediocrity that Liverpool have taken certainly is a concern.

ed25 it may come as a surprise but not everyone likes the beatles mate. Out of that era i much prefer bands like the stones or kinks but its personal preference. Beatles did some great stuff but i do think they should have called it a day a couple of years before they did. And yes its a vibrant friendly city especially the girls. Just thought i'd throw the jennifer ellison comment out for some banter. {Ed025's Note - and im sure you will get some...nice one
