Please if any of the Eds is around, could you please eaborate on the Halilvic's situation.
If Fc Barcelona cannot go ahead and sign him, what are our chances and considering he is still 17 can we still have a means to sign him?
Thanks in advance.

I believe the Nike deal is about to get announced in the next few days, stay tuned.

GCU do you mean the kit deal or alledged stadium naming rights?. Any increased revenue is greatly received right now if we intend to spend big in the next window. We have plenty of money for transfers by all accounts but need to ensure wage increases can be covered by extra revenue so we do not fall foul of ffp.

Agree0 Disagree0

The kit deal. I do not believe the stadium deal will happen. On the wage front, there is quite bit of big wages coming off our books this summer with the likes, nani, giggs, ferdinand, Vidic, Evra, Hernandez Anderson all most likely going. I think they would add up to something like over 25 million a year.

I do realize we are signing new players but the wages theses our guys are on still are top wages and some of the younger guys we sign will not be getting these type of wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

Guessed it was the kit deal but wasn't sure. Do you think all them players will go?. Obviously vidic is going and most likely giggs, Rio and evra but I am not sure about nani and Hernandez. I don't know the state of Andersons contract but my Fiorentina supporting friend has told me his performances on loan have been poor and would be surprised if the deal is made permanent. I am also not convinced we will be offering small wages if we are after the likes of kroos, carvalho, mangala etc especially if other big clubs with cl football are also after them. One thing for sure I think its going to be a interesting summer what with transfers, ffp and the world cup :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I believe all will go. Giggs will retire. Maybe also maybe one more that no one expects might also go :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Wash your mouths out, Giggs will never retire, he will play forever

Agree0 Disagree0

He might have to AJH

So after the Ronaldo booing incident last week in Madrid I was expecting a few guys on here posting about how we can get him back to our club ;)
But I still expect him to come out and say he was hurt by the fans and he is sad. And then Real pays him even more money and he tells the media how United was just his past.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Haha very good.

Agree0 Disagree0

Brilliant LOL,

I am still waiting for Rooney to kiss the badge:) maybe after he scores a famous last minute goal in Munich to knock them out:)

Agree0 Disagree0

Gcu, we can only dream, but it will be even better if fellaini can do that and that will be the funniest thing we've seen.

Agree0 Disagree0

The odds of us winning is 9/1 which is astonishing unbelievable. I can't ever remember seeing those odds on united.

Was listening to Trevor francis last night and he reckoned chelsea still have a chance to go through and we have none, I like it how everyone is writing us off and Bayern seems to have gotten their nose out of joint as well thinking they were going to waltz through the tie.

Agree0 Disagree0

Shahram

The odds reflect our form. After a 1-1 at home people are getting very excited. Assuming we nick it in Bayern! we will still have 2 more, top class teams to contend with. There are very few poor bookies

Agree0 Disagree0

5/1 for me after a 1-1 draw we should be shorter but Bayern have a great home so they would be my odds to win I would say 20-1

I am hoping that there is some joined up thinking by Moyes and the board this year with signings with a view to how Moyes wants the team to play formation wise next year.
For me I would like to see either a 4-1-2-1-2 or a 4-2-3-1 formation.
Prioritise 2 from 3 of Carvallho/Gudjagon/Kroos for the CM roles. Look at Lallana/Reus for the more advanced needs and in defense I would go for Shaw/Coleman/Garay.
It would add steel/skill/European experience as well as youth/pace.
Add in some of the loan players and improved understanding from those that remain as to what Moyes wants and we should be okay next year!

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Carvalho yeah, Kroos no. We need to sign players who are taking the next step up in their careers rather than those looking to take a step back just for the extra wages, no matter how good they are.

Elbow55

Here you go judging a player without any evidence. Anything that comes to the media is fully proof.

If we don't qualify to the Europe, what do you think will be the main reason of any possible arrival of WORLD CLASS player that we're all crying for??

Money Talks and for Manchester United, next season will be mostly about money my friend, so get over it. We need Top players and I don't care if its for money or not as long as they give everything every week for this CLUB.

Agree0 Disagree0

Toni Kroos is one of the best players in the world in the more advanced midfield position. He is improving season upon season and is still relatively young. For the branded 30-40m we could get 5-6 years from a truely great player.

Or we could spend a similar amount of money on Carvalho who is a lot younger, lacks experience, plays in a much weaker league, with very little european/international experience, and receives bad reviews about a number of aspects of his game. Yes he may be able to commit for 10 years but who is to say he would reach the level of a Toni Kroos?

BEfore anyone points it out I know it shouldn't be one or the other as they both play different positions but if our budget only allowed for one of them the Kroos would be the man everyday, and it would be extremely difficult to argue otherwise.

Agree0 Disagree0

Elbow, you would take Carvalho before Kroos? have you ever watched either play? anyone who says we shouldn't be going for kroos, if there is a possibility he may become available, obviously hasn't seen much of him. The guy is class whether he thinks he should be on equal pay to others at Bayern or not matters not to us.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Moyes ideal vision for next season is a 4-2-3-1 with De Gea in goal, a back four of Coleman, Jones, Mangala and Shaw with the full backs providing width. Kroos alongside Gundogan or Carvalho in the middle, Rooney behind RVP with Mata and Kagawa / Januzaj as inside forwards. We could probably add some pace to that front four but if we started the season like that I would be a happy chappy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kroos is an excellent player and by far the better two prospects of the two. However the fact that he would leave Bayern and come to United at this present time says everything about his attitiude and i'm not sure we should be doing an ozil at this present time. Instead we should be buying young hungry potentially world class players and reaping the rewards in a few years time. If kroos comes and proves me wrong then great but i'd prefer players up for the fight and if he isn't fussed about fighting for his bayern future then his attitude would be no different during hard times at OT.

Agree0 Disagree0

Elbow if Kroos know's just how good he is and doesn't think that Bayern appreciate him then how does that make him have a bad attitude? Maybe the idea of playing in a different league interests him too.

I honestly think he's the best candidate by far to fill the boots of Scholesy. In terms of playing style and level of talent.

Agree0 Disagree0

Elbow if you were in your job for 5 years and 2 new guys ( Thiago and Gotze) came In on 2 and 3 times your salary you would be p*ssed, so is Kroos.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kroos will be an absolute dream. I love watching him play. I watch carvalho a lot, and while he is showing great promise, the prise sporting are asking is massive, but he could be a wonderful player.
Whoever we get, my wish is to see us playing with players who are comfortable in possession and with incisive attacking players. For sometime now, we have not had the right personnel to retain the ball and especially in European and against the top teams.
Know I'm asking a lot, but that has to be our target.

Agree0 Disagree0

Look mate Kroos wants an improved contract as in better bonuses and maybe 10 not a hundred grand more

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Kroos will sign a new contract, yes he is a great player but didn't, t see much of him against United.
Personally I'd love to sign him and Carvalho

Agree0 Disagree0

Carvalho looks to be done and he can be slowly introduced to first team football with Carrick playing in the defensive position of midfield when more experience is needed. I'd personally like to see Vidal as the other midfield player but would be more than happy with Kroos, Gundogan or Modric.
We need a pacey winger and Di Maria will be available at the right price. Him on one wing, Januzaj on the other, Mata behind Rooney who is clearly best when played as a striker and playing him there allows Mata to play in his preferred 10 position. Kagawa provides cover and other options for the 3 behind Rooney. Possibly time to move RVP on while we'd still get some money for him? We could use him to sweeten any deals for Vidal/Di Maria etc.
Coleman and Shaw would give us two of the best young full backs in the game. Garay would provide cover although I don't know if he's what we need as a first team player. We may need to spend big on a top class defender who can fill the gap for 2/3 years until Smalling and Jones can step up and become our first choice centre backs. Dante maybe? Mangala?
