There seems to be two trains of thought at the moment.
1. Either Moyes is out of his depth tactically and at the club, the players aren't playing for him and he hasn't got a clue about his first eleven or best formation. He looks doomed, reminds me of Fraser from Dad's Army lol

2. The squad he has inherited off fergie needs ripping apart and starting again. Lack of investment over the last few years means there are massive gaps in the squad, one or two reserves who could come through but are they the quality we need right now? No. Moyes needs time, a lot of money to spend on new faces and he needs to have some confidence in himself.

All united fans are looking for someone to blame, moaning about this and that and I have had my rants as the performances are shocking in most games this season. Olympiakos game was a joke we only sparked a bit into life once Kagawa came on. Clearly cleverly and young and rio (and smalling at right back is a no) need to be squad players at the most as they are a joke. Switch to a compact 4 - 3 - 3 or the 4 2 3 1 that is being mentioned as our wingers aren't up to the job. Have Carrick / Fellani / Fletcher as the holding 2 and then Kagawa or Mata along with Januaz rooney and RVP until the end of the season.

All things considered we are in a whole pile of crap at the moment but part of the blame should be aimed at Fergie, Gill, the Glazers over the last few years for lack of investment in the team and letting talent like Pogba go (not mentioning Morrison as that was down to his lifestyle). Aresenal, Liverpool, Chesea, City, Spurs, Everton have invested heavily over the last few years and have overtaken us and we all hate to admit it.

The rest of the fault is down to Moyes for his team selections, tactics and also the players who seem to have lost their confidence, hunger and fight. Maybe they think they've done it all under Fergie and don't need to prove anything anymore. If that is the case they should be ashamed of themselves.

The question now is do we want Moyes to have the chance to rebuild our great club or should he be replaced to sort out the mess. I don't like the guy but I would give him a chance to see what he can do with the type of players he signs. Sure its embarrassing now but its a massive step up for him.

He needs to figure out the teams strengths and play to them. Its not like we have much more to lose so sod the pressure and tell the players to go out and play attacking football. You never know we might win a few more games!

Believe in yourself Moyes!! You might surprise yourself!

1.) It's both, but I think the biggest problem for us being in 7th is point one. Until point one is sorted out I think it will be hard to get out of the rut we are currently in.

2.) 39 games 39 different starting XI. The fact that he keeps saying, "next game" "game by game" shows he doesn't have a plan. Fergie would know his starting 11 for a game a month from now, he always had a plan.

3.) Good post, but what is Moyes's style? Can anyone tell me please. I'm confused!

4.) He should have his best team and rotate accordingly depending on fitness. Keeping the same structure. Eberything is different every game and players seem confused, especially at the back.

Is Nick Powell's loan at Wigan finished? If so, do you think he should be put in our midfield alongside fletcher or fellani to see what he can do?

Must be worth a look, he's done well at Wigan, I know the Premier League is a step up but he can't be worse than clevereley!

Brynmez75

1.) Can't wait to see Powell in a United shirt next season, although where will he play? It seems his best position is the number ten role, where we already have Rooney, Welbeck, Mata and Kagawa
Banter please.

By the way, this a great site and I love the inputs of the editors. Keep up the great work.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks.}

2.) Can he play as a box to box midfielder? I thought he was more a no 10 and could even play up front.

I'm all for giving him a go but no point in risking his development by playing him out of position.

3.) He injured his hamstring and is back with us I believe.

4.) Brymnez75
Let him have a good experience mate! He looks a gem of a player and should not be rushed.

5.) He's played most of the season as a striker, almost as a false 9 really. I don't actually know if he's played a whole game as a centre mid. Maybe as he gets older, like Scholes he'll move back and be smart enough to dictate the play and control the tempo.

The first seeds of recovery have been sown, moyes finally started januaz. Two goals was an excellent return. I know the majority of the team needs replacing but maybe at last moyes has started to see the team he wants emerging. There is a long way to go and major changes are needed. Left back needs sorting - maybe fabio needs a run. Midfield needs sorting and centre defence too. If moyes can bring zaha through as well we might have the creative wingers we need. Not perfect but a rebuilding job is needed, we all know that but it has to start somewhere and results might suffer but we'll get there.

Brynmez75

1.) You know the majority of the team needs replacing (god help us)!

2.) Their is the small problem that has turned into a big problem in the last two years we new the players were getting older this was a problem three years ago but we were still winning now the players are old and we only have a few young players

We need to forget about what would fergie do in this situation. He's not the manager now. Moyes is.

Sure its hard to see us lose and be outplayed by West Brom, City etc.

Moyes is trying to figure out his best team and system. Its going to be painful, some players need to move on and some new ones will come in.

I just wish Moyes wuld try to be more positive in his talks and team selection and play in the united way. Either way Moyes has got a tough job and we should give him a fair crack of the whip even though the league table is hard to look at, at the moment.

Hang on for the ride, its going to be a rough one!
